What happens if I cut the cheese? :o

I know. I read it. I was stating what I personally would do.

Despite what everyone wants everyone else to do, a lot of people who use MFP are not going to weigh their food. The fact that they're here in the first place is great, as it means they're actually trying, maybe for the first time in their life, and it would be discouraging to find that they can't input their food because…

Wow, AWESOME job!!!!!

Yep!!! On those days when my husband won't be home until late at night, I go right for the Lean Cuisine potstickers! :) No mess, no fuss, no weighing, just pop it in the microwave and grab hold of the remote control for the first time in weeks, haha.

Well, age 50 has come and gone and I've lost 28 pounds. I kind of got sidelined when my husband had open heart surgery, and I do get into that crunchy/salty mood more often than I should, so I'm proud of myself for not saying screw it and going backwards. :) Unfortunately, he's back to his old routine of stress and…

That's because no one asked about the breast measurements of the female scientists. :open_mouth: I would love to see them figure out cold fusion, but as others have said, they've been trying to get this right for a looooooooong time.

I had the opposite problem for years. I never saw myself as fat.

I knew someone who was clinically anorexic and she still had a little belly, even when she was lying down.

Have you tried taking your pulse yourself as you exercise? Count it for 15 seconds and then multiply by 4. Then compare it to what the bike is telling you. Everyone is different. How much do you weigh? What is your fitness profile? Someone who is 300 lbs and out of shape is going to have their heart rate go much higher…

My husband and I have an absolutely amazing relationship but it still irks me when he loses more weight than me. It's not about him, it's about me. But we talked about it and now we weigh ourselves in private and we strive to mention the positive aspects about each other when we see them. For example, just him saying how…

I'm already working on the caloric deficit (see my avatar) and am seeing my rheumatologist tomorrow morning to get the last set of all-clears for exercising (I saw my regular doc yesterday) so that'll help with the flab part. I do want to gain strength in that arm, as the other one is so much more fit because I do all the…

Yep! :) Check out my photos here: http://wildmaven.org A good place to compare cameras is here: http://www.dpreview.com/products/compare/cameras You can select a couple of cameras and do a side by side comparison. Best to figure out what's important to you and how you'll be using it first. Will you be shooting in low…

Your body needs protein and energy to help with the reparative process. You're actually prolonging your recovery by eating so little. If you feel you can't get the nutrition you need, you should buy some meal supplements such as Ensure and keep to at least a 1200 calorie a day level. Also, even with a broken pelvis, you…

Me, too. :(

As part of a sushi roll! :) Mmmm mmm!

I would think that just conscious exercise would count. Not the general walking around at work or doing dishes, etc. This is an effort to get people moving more, so if you go out and take a walk, that would count. :)

Looks like a lot of people are eating either crow or their feet.

f/2.8, ISO 800, 30sec exposure, 11mm lens. I live near Death Valley, so we have very little light pollution. :) Shot in RAW.

This is from tonight! If you haven't gone outside, do so! The moon is new and not in the way of seeing the beautiful stars! This is a 30 second exposure. The only fiddling afterwards was a slight brightening and noise reduction. :)

I no longer take one of my 2 psoriatic arthritis medications that I had taken for years. It's not just the weight loss, it's the healthier eating. Plus, I no longer walk with a cane. :)

Well, in one of the "date, kiss, hug, whatever" threads, members said I was too smart to date.

My Mom, when I was in high school: "I can tell your socks apart from your sister's because yours are all stretched out on the top." Really, mom?!?!!?!?

OMG!!! I found the old shirt while cleaning out a drawer today, so I took another photo. I pulled the shirt from the back and tied it with a rubber band so I could see my new shape. :)

Seeing progress like yours has really been an inspiration to me, too! :) One of my patients thought I was the same age as her today and she's 32, hahahha!! Wheeee! Thank you so much! Mine got reset several times when I was away from the computer and ended up putting in my food a day late. Keep it up! :) Awww, thanks! :)

Thanks!!! I'm going to be 50 in 6 days, eek! :)
