  • I have this problem some days too! Usually if I am significantly under I find that the next day I am more hungry (or even if I'm not), so I'll just let myself be a little over for the day. It all balances out in the end. Or the other thing I started doing recently was in the mornings I know I will work out later in the day…
  • Great timing for this post to come back up! My stupid scale has not budged in 3 months and it gets frustrating. Luckily though I was brought up on the mentality of go off of how your clothes fit. I have lost inches and pants size but nothing on the scale. Some days it gets so frustrating but I try to remind myself it will…
  • You must be my twin! I am sitting at 155 right now at 5 ft 4.5/5 depending on the dr and my goal is 145. I am in a size 8 currently also. I have played sports since I was 5 and my whole life I have always weight 20lbs more than anyone has guessed. I am pretty sure I will stick to my goal of 145 and focus more on fitness at…
  • Just curious on why not use protein powder? For me that's the only thing that gets me up there some days!
  • Depends on what you are looking for in a fitness band. That will be the determining factor of how much you are going to spend to get what you want.
  • Add the app on MFP. I don't have to do anything and my runs automatically sync.
  • I know this an old thread but I am in for this club/new friends! I have found a love in running outdoors lately with my dog and would like to incorporate lifting also. I have dumbbells at home that go up to 52 lbs each (I am not a gym person). Feel free to add me as a friend ladies!
  • Pickles with laughing cow cheese wrapped in lunch meat, pretzel sticks with laughing cow cheese, cottage cheese with salsa, greek yogurt with berries, celery/carrots with hummas or guacamole, popcorn, and that's what I have off the top of my head!
  • I do this but use the laughing cow cheese wedges in all the different flavors!
  • I make a low calorie ranch by using a Hidden Valley dry packet and blending it with 2% cottage cheese and some coconut milk (to thin it out), it's only about 25 calories a serving this way and yummy!
  • I know it's not much but it's still usually at least like 100 calories or something (depending on the actual # of steps) but no it's not giving me anything.
  • Ok maybe I didn't explain well enough. I use the Mapmyrun for just my job. That syncs fine. It's my steps that don't sync. I am on sedentary and I've found that anything over 5000 steps starts to slowly add extra calories for me. So say I've walked 8000 steps before my jog, those "extra" 3000 don't seem to get counted.…
  • Anyone???
  • You can sync the Garmin connect with MFP. You have to sync the Vivofit to the Garmin Connect then it will update with MFP it's just slow from what I noticed.
  • Find the bra you like then search ebay and amazon. I got way better deals on the bras there!
  • I found that I prefer the underwire sports bras myself, I had never tired them until I got on here and had some recommended to me. I also firmly believe that just because one is "nice/pricey" doesn't make them great. There are some other posts about them too if you want to read. I love my VS Incredible sports bra. I had it…
  • Spend the money on a good sports bra! Omg it makes a difference. I've done all the stupid tricks too but nothing beats being able to wear only one bra. VS has great sports bras now just go for the ones with maximum support. I have also found I like the moving comfort one's also. It's amazing what a great sports bra will…
  • Where do you sync your set counter on MapMyWalk/Run? I didn't know you could do that!
  • If you manually log your exercise on here you can put in the time you were doing it and it will adjust from the step counter to not double count it.
  • I have the Vivofit and it helps me to gauge my "activity level" for the day. I keep my activity level set to sedentary here and then use my Vivofit to either help me be active enough to eat a little more or it tells me if I didn't. For me it keeps me motivated (I have a desk job). For example I was super busy and didn't…
  • I agree why does it have to be a number on the scale? I am 5'5 also and my goal is to weigh 145. I have played sports my entire life though and always weigh more than anyone thinks. To me it's more about knowing what my number should be not what a cookie cutter "range" says it should be. Just something to think about. :)
  • I disagree with the ones stating that it has nothing to do with working out. There is a huge difference in not sleeping and being restless. There are many days where I workout out and am completely restless all evening, usually my legs. This is not for lack of not pushing myself either.
  • I am not changing my goals on here (Like someone above) but if I eat at maintenance here and there then I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I am still logging and keeping things in moderation. Plus for me I needed a bit of a break anyways!
  • Stretch. I find when I'm restless before bed if I do some really good stretching it seems to help it.
  • Laughing cow cheese wedges (lite) replaces cheese and mayo on things!
  • I didn't start having people comment until over 20 lbs. Some of it depends on how you dress or how much you have to lose. Another food for thought though that someone once said (I believe on here) is that some people won't say anything because they are afraid you will take it the wrong way. Like they were calling you fat…
  • Add some friends! It helps having people on your side and someone (or some people) to bounce thoughts, ideas, etc off of. It's sooo hard dealing with the "I used to be" I know because I am in the same boat. We all have our days where we want to give up. I then look at my pic I have that was my last straw or even look at my…
  • You don't have to quit drinking to lose weight. Hell I quit drinking for 8 months and didn't lose a lb! I have lost over 30 lbs on here will still enjoying my wine and sometimes beer or liquor. Really it comes down to the choices you make while drinking. Are you the type who has a couple drinks then all will power goes out…
  • Personally I just don't want to deal with all the know it alls on here that tend to pick apart people and their diaries. Yes some ask for it but really how do you know if someone who logs one slice of cheese didn't actually weigh it and find that it was just under the weight listed on the package and chose to use the…
  • It's a pain in the butt! I only learned all of this since my weight went up and (thankfully) now back down because NOTHING fit right. You would think it could be a little easier!
