Another 2 lbs down this week

I have a pretty poor webcam. But this is me before and after about 40 lbs so far. I've still got a bit to go but I feel good so far

Carbs, carbs, sugar and more carbs. I go to the gym usually not long after I wake up.

Yeah. Everyone has gave me loads of helpful tips on here. I'm sticking with it and slowly improving my diet :)

Thanks :) I do eat a lot of takeaway. I just find it hard to say no when my family's eating them all the time. It's partially why I came back to MFP. I wanted to log everything I was eating just so it was there on a list for me to see what I was eating every day.

I weigh myself every monday when I first wake up.

I go to PureGym. It's an English gym that offer 24/7 gyms around the country. I like it because I can go whenever I want (Monday morning / wednesday in the middle of the night, you name it). They also have LOTS of equipment meaning even at its busiest times, there's still enough for everyone to use.

The body increases your heart rate the hotter your body becomes in order to lose excess heat through the blood around your skin. You'll find it's a lot harder to maintain the same level of activity if you're in a hotter than usual setting since your heart will be working double time to supply muscles with oxygen and cool…

I've noticed recently that I begin to feel full quicker but within a few hours, that fullness turns into hunger again. It's actually hard to satisfy my hunger for a long time at the moment. No matter how much protein or fat I eat.

That recommendation is also probably based on an average-sized adult. Being overweight and having a higher base metabolic rate would mean that a bit more is fine for me. As for my sugar intake, I tend to try to eat and drink carbs and sugars before going to the gym. 30g of sugar comes from the 750ml sports drink I take…

I tend to get more cranky when I haven't had enough sleep. When I haven't eaten enough, I feel weaker and less energetic than usual.

Hey. I work 10pm-6am. Usually, I'll eat dinner before I go to work and pack a light lunch to eat there on my break. It'll usually consist on some sort of fruit and whatever else I fancy for that day. I go to bed when I get in and wake up afternoon time. Eat breakfast when I wake up and head for the gym to start my day.

I'll add you. I can be random at times.

I'm Josh from Nottinghamshire :). Hey there
-
Sounds good. I'm nearly half way to my goal :)
-
I changed my settings to public now :)
-
Yeah. I plan on letting healthier food choices into my life a little at a time. That way, I'm not giving up everything at once and I can still have the occasional fast food meal if it's what I actually want to eat.

I cooked myself a steak tonight. Does that count? XD

I guess a slower transition would be easier. Thanks for the advice :) Yeah. MY protein intake as of late hasn't been as high as it could've been. And with me doing loads of cardio, it probably will eventually eat away at my muscle mass if I'm not doing strength training. Thanks for that, dude :) The stronglifts 5x5 seems…

I've currently got a goal of losing 85 lbs. I'm almost half way to that goal so far. I'm currently working out at least 5 times a week at the gym doing cardio. I guess I don't have a deadline for losing the weight. I'll just be happy when it's gone. :) -I'll send you a request.

Hey :) Taking the step back onto MFP is an accomplishment in itself. It shows that you WANT to lose weight. There's lots of great advice floating around here and lots of friendly motivating people that want to help you. You just have to realise that they can only help you to help yourself. All the work will be done by you…

I'll send you a request :)

Just keep at it and you'll be hitting your goals and feeling so good for it :)

Thanks for the tip :p I just realised I can view a full report of all my macros for a day or range of days.
-
It's actually what made me post this in the first place to see if anyone else has been in this situation. I have a feeling it won't last forever but I guess I'll have to wait and see. I know I eat fast foods a little too often and should look at cooking for myself when my family gets fast food instead. It's a shame the…

Good idea dude. A lot of people are recommending eating more protein which I think I'll consider doing. Like you said, watching hydrogenated and saturated fats and sodium is also a good idea because losing weight and being healthy are 2 different things. I'll just have to wait and see in the somewhat near future if the…

Yeah thanks dude  I've noticed a big increase in my appetite since a week ago when I started going to the gym. I'll drink some water before I do eat just to make sure it is actual hunger and not thirst/boredom bringing it on.
-
I'll update the main post with my info. I do log my food. But I don't make my own recipes so I usually have to go off of MFP's database so there will be some errors there. Since I can't edit the main post for a while, I'll just put it here. I'm 5"9', currently 256 lbs (18st4), 22 years old with a very active job in a…

Thanks for the tip :) It seems the macros on my food diary for protein are around that mark but the fats are a little higher.

Hey Lindy. Welcome to MFP  I'll send you a request.
