Thanks  I do go out of my way to try and get myself some healthier snacks. Fat-free yoghurts, fresh and tinned fruit (I freaking love apples) and they make for a great replacement from the usual stuff I'd eat. I'm not too bothered about the junk food being there in the cupboard as long as i have an alternative to…

I sometimes dislike it when people try to convince me that I've lost weight when I can't see it myself. It demotivates me. Almost makes me feel like the work that needs to be done is already done even though I clearly can see it isn't.

There's not a lot of free space in the kitchen so it might be difficult to find somewhere to move everything or re-arrange the food. But I've always cooked for the family at least once a week. Spaghetti bolognaise is one of my favourite dishes to make. I watch the portions to make sure there's not too much, I use lean…

Thanks! I generally just munch on some sort of fruit if I feel peckish in the middle of the day. Just yesterday, I realised I'd lost a stone and treated myself to a subway and some ice cream when i got home. I opted for a light option; turkey and ham loaded with salad. And kept it to 100ml of ice cream which was much more…

I only started about 2 weeks ago so I've been weighing in around twice a week. But once I hit a weight loss wall, (which you usually do after the first few weeks of dieting) I'll start weighing in once a week to see how I've done.

And you just keep eating that thing until that emotional hole is filled again. It usually happens when your emotions get the better of…

I'm currently on a month of Omeprazole and it's pretty much having the complete opposite effect. I never have an appetite and I'm not sure whether it's a good or a bad thing.

Some very useful tips here. I'll be sure to forward to anyone that needs help.

Try to fit any kind of exercise into your daily routine if you don't feel like going to the gym. It shouldn't feel like a chore, but just more as a part of your daily routine. Walk whenever you go on a short journey instead of driving. Lower any amounts of sugar you're consuming because sugar has a horrible tendency to…

Eating whole fruits and vegetables gives you a lot of the fibre, vitamins and minerals that you lose when you juice them. Fibre will help you feel fuller and make you less likely to want to nibble on snacks in the day.

What got me started was not thinking of losing weight as a chore. Giving up some foods can be tough but you can try and find healthier replacements. Soda/pop is a huge source of calories and sugar so you could swap that for tea, coffee, water or a diet version of that soda. Replacing snacks like candy bars, chocolate and…

I never really exercised as a teenager and always ate tons of junk food (usually from boredom or just snacking all the time in between meals.) My biggest downfall is sweets and candy. I just find it so easy to eat and eat until an entire pack is gone.
