  • hey everyone! New to the group and I thought I'd join in on the Daily Check In fun. I'm doing week 3, day 3 tomorrow morning. I did some yoga today to stretch out my calf muscles. Kind of intimidated that I am so close to week 4!
  • Thanks everyone. Because of p90x and p90x3, I've gotten into the habit of writing down my progress (# of reps, weights). I'm used to always seeing improvement week-to-week. Running is just a whole different animal and much more of a mental struggle than I had anticipated. I'll try not to get so hung up on the numbers.
  • I like both blocks. I think block 1 got me moving a bit more and overall was more fun. It seemed very cardio based. I kind of miss the agility and warrior workout (although I HATED cvx.) I just finished my first week of block 2. The eccentric upper and lower and the incinerator kind of remind me of p90x. It's a bit slower…
  • Finished my transition week. I sort of hated isometrix, but I think it was just because I was really bad at it! I was falling all over the place. But I also did it at night after a 10 hour work day. I think I would have done a much better job if I had started my day out with it. Dynamix is a solid workout. I was familiar…
  • I also add the Ab Ripper X video (from p90x...I don't have the new one) once or twice a week. The videos do a good job incorporating core workouts, but I miss having an ab specific video. Oh, and I'm going to Cancun with some of my classmates in a few weeks...extra motivation!
  • Just finished block 1. I'm happy with my results so far. I started out pretty physically weak. I had practically no upper body strength. I picked the classics program to focus more on toning and gaining strength. I'll be honest, I could barely get through some of the works and had to modify A LOT. By week three, I found…
  • What's up with the body shaming and fertility assumptions? I'm new to MFP, but I assumed this would be a no snark zone. Silly me, I guess. If you dislike the term skinny fat, fine. You don't have to use it. I personally don't find it to be an offensive term and don't think we need to talk down to ladies who use it. I…
  • I'm currently 32, 27, 37. Being a pear can be very frustrating. My small upper body bone frame and proclivity to gain weight in my lower half makes me feel like I look disproportionate. Especially since women's fashion (especially stuff geared towards 20-somethings) seems to be made for ladies with a more boyish figure…
  • Hey everyone! Kind of late to comment on this, but I thought I would jump in. I did about 2 weeks of p90x3 classics and loved it. I was supposed to start my 3rd week last week, but I really messed up my neck and shoulder after falling on the ice. I took a week off to prevent any further injuries. I have been stretching as…
