Last line is a yes, but I'd start with your doctor.
-
How about not shaming anyone's figure?

I see a big red flag in your post - your doctor wanting you to gain weight. I also vaguely remember some other "eating rules" flags in your prior posts. You are either in a bad place or heading towards one. Definitely time to work with some form of mental health professional.

Had a Dunkin Donuts Chocolate Chip muffin for breakfast. Not that great tasting, unfortunately. My mom made one of her wonderful chicken dishes recently, and I can't wait to get the servings she saved for me. It's chicken in a cream of mushroom and sour cream sauce on top of dried beef slices with bacon on top, served over…

Buy in bulk when possible (if storage is available), but always calculate the cost per ounce (or whatever other measurement is on the package), because sometimes the smaller package is the better value.

Maybe the OP should apply that same logic to the things he heard about diet soda?
-
Diet soda makes people into unicorns! Awesome. *Maintaining 15+ years on enough Diet Mt Dew that I am amazed my blood isn't neon green.
-
It does - and I am totally intrigued. These types go to 'G'! So much more science-y than the limited blood type or somatype #s. Higher #s of values automatically gives more validity.

What are your specs - height, weight, goal weight? 2 pounds per week may be too aggressive a goal for you.
-
1. BMR is the amount of calories you burn as if you were in a coma. Where did you get the 1700 calorie number as your goal? Was it at MFP? 2. Exercise burns calories. You need to feed yourself to keep exercising. Exercise is good for the body + health, but it brings with it a need to eat more. 3. No meat can be fine, but…

I love this image. Happy little bacteria making tiny little toots.

My sister-in-law got one for Christmas and made the potatoes with rosemary recipe that was in the instruction book. They were wonderful, so infused with flavor and perfectly cooked. Made me want to get one.

 My birthday is December 31. I get free calories day AND fireworks.
-
I thought this was going to be a joke question about eating on your birthday. To the joke question - yes, on your birthday, nothing has calories. It's a special gift.

I just bought a Keurig. I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I prefer to have a variety of options to work with - chai latte, mochas - and not have to be tied to a whole pot of one type of coffee.

Around here it's kind of boomeranged the other way - CARBS WILL KILL YOU AND EVERYONE YOU LOVE.

Just going to be pedantic here, but electroshock/ECT is still a treatment. My aunt has had multiple rounds in the last year to deal with literally debilitating (won't eat, drink, bathe, speak) mental illness.

It's not lower calories sometimes it is all the time. You can gain weight eating "healthy". Easy examples - avocado, olive oil, peanuts - could be classified as healthy, all calorie dense. Eat too much - boom - you've gained.

I go somewhere in between. I eat what I want, but listen to my hunger cues so don't eat to excess that badly or eat food just because it is there. I experience a temporary increase in scale weight and it disappears within a few weeks. Oh - and I am one who was born in December - New Year's Eve baby =)

I had a yummy mint chocolate cupcake from Trader Joe's. Hit their holiday stuff but controlled myself pretty well. Sampled bacon wrapped figs - yum.

Speaking of cancer treatment, going back to my dad's experience, it's interesting the treatments they are exploring. Again - he has pancreatic cancer, and the pool of people with it who can be used in clinical trials is likely small. During his first treatment and after he has been part of a trial for a pancreatic cancer…

TBH - Tuesday I would estimate anyway - it's probably not as bad as you think. And I never try to 'make up' calories when I overdo it. I move on.

I had the pumpkin Joe Joe's (Trader Joe's Oreos) tonight for the first time. SO. GOOD. Tons of creme and awesome flavor.
-
Yes. Personal example - my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about three years ago. For those who don't know, pancreatic cancer is frequently diagnosed late and has a very low survival rate. My dad had a very complicated surgery ( and second emergency surgery when the stitches from the first burst), radiation, and…

20 minutes from one chocolate? That extreme of a reaction? Not buying it. It's either a guilt reaction or you've cut unhealthy amounts.

-50 points for not including 'WAKE UP SHEEPLE'

I spot some green bean casserole @Illy_Mooncat , which I love. Looks like a fantastic plate overall.

I admit to struggling with this right now. I have been maintaining my weight goal for 15 years, and recently started pushing the limits as to how long I can go without food (hours, not days to be clear). The problem is I am used to eating a certain volume of food, and have a hard time eating enough when the window is…

If you are within calories and are satisfied your %ages of the macros can be what satisfies you most. Don't fall for the false "carbs need to be low" thing. Hit a good amount of protein and fat, and then let the rest fall where they may. I am maintaining below goal weight at ~50% carbs, and have done so for 15 years.
