Is that:- No, exercise is a good thing ..................... or did you actually mean what you wrote No exercise is a good thing........... Missing out on that comma makes it completely the opposite meaning

I had a set around 35 years ago - but I much preferred the Teflon coated frying pan for frying stuff in. Very heavy as well. I would think they have improved a lot though in the past 35 years (but then again, so have good Teflon coated stuff). Sorry, that isn't much help to you :(

Actually I think the reason why straight guys hit on lesbians is completely different, straight guys often see lesbians as a challenge and think that one night in bed will 'cure' them.

Similar to this - I find the scales draw me like a magnet first thing in the morning - weight is recorded on a graph in a Photoshop document and compared to my targeted loss. I also record every week in a spreadsheet so that my BMI, BMR and TDEE can be calculated accurately. ............. and yes I record when I gain too -…

Various tactics depending on who it is. For cold call sales people I just inform them that I am on the Telephone Preferences Scheme that they are legally obliged to check before making the cold call, then ask them to remove my number from their database. Over the past 18 months I have been getting calls from Microsoft…

Well, first off - well done by joining MFP and posting this. Don't become too discouraged - and as others have said, start more slowly and ease your way back into exercise. When I started on my exercise bike at the beginning of February, I could only manage 5 or 6 mins before I was out of breath and having cramp in my…

Haha - I'm exactly the same, it's a very powerful love/hate relationship I have with my bathroom scales - and I breathe out when I stand on them. I know it doesn't make a shred of difference, but psychologically I have to do it lol

I too bought mine off Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310695638326?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Very, very pleased with them - weighs in grams, ounces or pounds and will tare the container for you at the touch of a button - then touch the tare button again - it will zero, so that you can add other…

Hi and welcome to MFP. You will find it a great source of knowledge and encouragement. In addition to what LowestSalary said (and he was spot on) I found that my modest investment in some new kitchen scales (electronic ones weighing accurately down to a gram - with a clear readout) was a godsend. Measure, measure, measure…

Like others here, I think you look fab (fabulous - not fat lol). The change you have made is inspirational. If you decide to lose a bit more I don't think it would make you look ugly or too skinny in any way. Are the friends who are telling you this now more plump than you?? If they are, it could be jealousy of your figure…

Well I'm one of the goldie oldies on here - 68 years young. I dieted down from 265lbs down to 128lbs around 4 years ago, then this year due to a number of things started putting it back on - then last November I stopped smoking, weight piled on, especially over Xmas and New Year. Now that I seem to be over the worst from…
