I'm on week 2 of phase 1 and so far really enjoying it. I find the cardio workout a bit repetitive though so I substituted in a TurboFire workout the second time around and will probably continue to sub in other cardio workouts for the rest of the program. I'm (still) really intimidated by going to the gym so what got me started was the ChaLean Extreme dvd by Beachbody. If you don't mind investing in some dumbbells it's a great program to start with. It's straightforward and I was amazed at how quickly I started to notice an improvement in my body.

I found P90X to have more cardio-based workouts than CLX. I also found that CLX helped me more with focusing on proper form, whereas P90X seemed to make the assumption you already knew how to do a lot of the moves. I'd like to hear the suggestions for this too. My butt is not as wide as it used to be thankfully but it's not near as...lifted, as I thought it would be at this point.

I just got this in the mail but when I tried using the band it came with I just got frustrated with all the looping and trying to figure out where to put it so I had enough tension etc etc. I definitely think I'd be better off using weights, so now I just need to buy some :/

Sort of echoing the above poster. I find that if I really, really feel like I must have fast food, I'll just get one item, like a McChicken sandwich but no fries. I do find that the longer I go without eating it, though, the less I want it.
