So if I dont eat back exercise cals (I usually eat back 5-10% if at all) does this mean I wont lose? Im just starting my 21st day and have gained a lb. I have, however, just upgraded to 8lb weights. I can see that Im tighter, but no inches or lbs lost. Im also 45.

Im doing JM's BodyShred if anyone wants to add!

Im on week 3 if anyone wants to add.

Good points. I am just going to keep at it and listen to what my body says rather than force feed myself. I am new to this, so time is what I need I guess. Thanks everyone.

"Third, and I do not mean this in a snarky or mean way, but if you were overweight, then yes, you can definitely eat your calorie goals. You got overweight by eating more calories than you burned, meaning you ate over your TDEE. I don't understand this argument at all. If I had those extra calories I would be having an ice…

You mean under change goals? It wont let me change the macros numbers and says the percentages dont match macros :( Edit: I tried again and it worked. Le sigh...... :|

I just realized at 1990 its setting my macros at 50/20/30. Waaay not enough protein, andit wont let me adjust percentages. Any way to fix this?

Thanks!

So based on IIFYM, I reset MFP to 1990 (@ 20% less). So do i just ignore the subtractions exercise makes, or not put in exercise? I would really like to be able to track both on MFP and not have to go to Fitocracy, etc.

Thanks for the post. I am in the same boat. I have gained 4 lbs in the first 3 weeks, but I am beginning to see my muscles emerge! Keep going :)

Go for it! I make my own pizza (50% white 50% WW flour) @ 374 a slice with 3 cheeses, mushrooms, turkey sausage, and pepperoni. Shoot me an IM if you want the recipe.

@RGv2 - I am using MFP atm. Still deciding on fitbit, etc. since my HRM ring broke. Up for suggestions  - Thanks everyone else. I like the idea of a small snack (or shake) for muscle recovery.

Thanks for all the input. I am losing when I do not eat calories back and not when I do. Part of it for me is age and hormones. I think it is a good idea to at least have a snack after exercising to refuel muscles (and of course tons of water). I tend to exercise late, so its nearly bedtime when I am done. I am still…

What are you logging T25 under? I cant find it in the db, and I just started it. Edit ti add: the before / after pics are inspirational! Love it!

I've just started to read it and was warned he doesn't have proper qualifications. In any case, if I'm reading right, I believe what he has said about wheat being modified so that it is now not a healthy thing to eat. Knowing this makes me really want to find some heirloom wheat seeds. It's not that wheat is bad so much as…

Looks like your weighing your food to me. I suggest cutting the sugar and salt. Looks like we both have a sweet tooth, and salt doesn't help either. I also did not see a lot of cups of water. Are you drinking enough of it? Good luck! I would LOVE to do p90x but I cant due to bad ankles.
-
Yes and the cravings are awful. I usually have 1-3 lbs of water gain and have to really try not to pig out. I also refuse to weigh myself those days even if it falls on a weigh in day. Too stressful. This too shall pass ;)

I have a nutribullet and juice when I don't have time for food prep. I just add whatever is in the recipe and make it a meal on MFP

I was thinking about ordering it, but wonder how it will work for 40+ group. Anyone here in that age range and using the system? I am concerned about ankle injuries (mine are weak).
-
String cheese. Edit: and if I'm really hungry and haven't been able to eat due to work, etc. (rarely), I'll down a muscle milk just to keep my levels up and out of starvation.
