Thanks. I used to be in bio-IDs but the creams did not work for me. I asked doc to drop my vivelle patch and progesterone a bit to see what happens. So far only morning hot flash or 2. I am also trying the IIFYM (if it fits yur macros) thing and it is interesting to say the least. I cant complain too much; when I'm…

I am! I am a IIFYM lover and am working with weights daily!

Hi all. Im 46 yo married and early meno. I've lost inches but the scale wont budge. I hope to lean more about what others are doing - esp. programs etc. I find that my joints aren't taking the aerobics like they used to. Stats: 5'8"; 197 Need to lose 25-30 lbs Lost 11 lbs since December.

Anyone else taking HRTs? Im in my 40s but meno hit me early and so i must take HRTs. Because of this early meno weight is very very hard to drop. Doc said I could try to go off HRT to "reset" but of course the hot flashes will not be fun....but I would lose weight.

May I ask what site you are using to calculate your macs?

Ikwum haha. I always ramp it up a bit when hubby suddenly walks in xD. Enjoy c2 :)

Finished and starting all over again. Finally, I no longer have to stop the videos and catch my breath!

It's a little harder. I like cardio 1 better.

Just started week seven and mildly sprained (is that the right word?) my shoulder, elbow, and knee. Prednisone is helping, but just wanted to share that weeks 7/8 are difficult!

This, yes. That's why dont understand why Scooby says I need 35/45/20. What's with that extra 5%?

This is the smartest move. Unfortunately there are some days (like today, for me) when you just have to have 1 scoop at Baskin Robbins.

The "if every day were like today" on MFP is complete BS

Feel better soon!

Have you had your hormones tested? You may have POI/POF. If so, you will need to take hormones to your 50s for health (bone loss, etc). https://nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/prematureovarianfailure.html

Hey everyone. 46 yo and have been going through menopause since age 37 (POI/POF). Long road to get on correct bio-identicals (I take Vivelle and progesterone) and now trying to lose 30 lbs, Looking for tips and tricks. So far I've been doing Jillian Michael's BodyShred the last 6 weeks. I see my muscles tightening and have…

Hi everyone! Hope for a lift today. Week 6 (Conquer/Triumph) and have to say I'm not quite into it. Perhaps it's because I'm not losing lbs (just inches). I'm older (46) and am sure that's part of the problem. Anyway, boo hoo. Thanks for listening. I must remember the long view for this journey!

Im wondering what your macros are set to and why you are not doing strength training. Weight can also fluctuate depending on salt/water intake and hormones (e.g., your period). In addition to MFP tracking, weighing myself daily (using apps like "Happy Scale" or "My Weight") has helped me to connect which foods are slowing…

Im doing BodyShred now. Has anyone done both that can comment on the differences? Edit to add: I do not have a bench or pull up bar. :(
-
Ive started week 5 of BodyShred. Ive only lost 1lb so far but have lost an inch on my waist and feel great. Like all other CDs, I do not care much for the first week because I am still learning the steps and my body is in shock from all the new moves. The 2nd week is fun, but then its on to the next CD =D. No complaints…

@dmegan012 Yep - week 3. Amplify just makes me cry (I despise push days). Today I actually just did as many as I could instead of stopping and catching my breath, etc. so I could do the same reps as JM. Now I do about 1/4 l less reps, but Im done in the 35 mins. @tarakiyoko I dont follow her eating plan either. I used to,…

Good info and also really disheartening. I used to set MFP to 1200 b/c I knew it was not accuate. I just recently moved it back to 1500...and now I wish I hadn't

Offering an explanation would be helpful

The number one reason I like it is because Im busy and its only 30 mins. Routines change every 2 weeks, so I never get bored. Its a 60 day program, so I'll probably use it 4-6 months before I memorize all the moves and get bored. Hopefully I'll be in better shape then xD. And those fricking crossover pushups above. OMG

Anyone else taking more than 30 mins to get through the set? Im taking about 45-60 mins if I actually do it right. Gawd those effing burpees >:)

Im noticing tighter bod at week 3 but no inches or lbs. Im older tho :|
