  • I used to dip my french fries in mayo. I may still do that occasionally if no one is looking. :(
  • Right now, and I mean RIGHT NOW, I'm having a vodka with water flavored with Raspberry Lemonade MIO. And it fits into my calorie allotment.
  • I know this may sound really "stalkerish" but I just took a look at your pics you have posted on here of yourself. Do you know you are a beautiful person with an absolutely stunning smile? We are generally our own harshest critic picking on the worst things about yourself but please remember the GOOD things about yourself…
  • This. Is. AWESOME. You've made my day. :D
  • I've been in maintenance for over a year now. I am still logging. I'm looking at this as a similar situation as when I was losing, now I'm just eating a tid bit more. I still want to know what I've been eating in the case things start to turn sideways. In fact, I've realized that my logging must not have been as tight as…
  • What does "clean eating" mean to you? There a quite a few definitions of this so maybe knowing some more specifics may help with the answers you may get.
  • I am SO having that day today. I'm wanting to eat EVERYTHING in sight. I'm allowing myself to eat a bit more today, okay....A LOT MORE today, but I'm ok with it. I weight train pretty heavily but today is a rest day, so this is a bit unusual for me. I'm just going to listen to by body and eat a sandwich.
  • Ice cream and potato chips. The ex-hubby turned me onto that one.
  • Cream cheese and pickles. LOVES IT !
  • How are you measuring/logging your food? Are you using a scale to determine how much you're eating? Also, if you're logging your workouts, are you eating back your exercise calories? And if so, how much?
  • What would anyone have learned by doing something like this? If it's not a "long term" solution, why do it? And what does extensive research mean?
  • Western Suburbs!!
  • I just looked into the database for "Fried Grouper" finding one which has 6.5 oz for 740 calories. Rather than using a quantity or serving of 1 (for the 6.5 oz) I would enter 1.23 in the quantity or serving, which will get you to 8 oz. This results in 910 calories. So, the one I found got you a bit closer to in the middle…
  • I feel as if we all understood what you were trying to ask. If people had tried it, and have been successful, more than likely they wouldn't be on a calorie counting website/application. People don't always need to TRY something to know that its woo, derp, or a gimmick. This is what people are trying to tell you.
  • ^^^So much this! My desk, by the end of the day, looks like a plastic wear grave-site. You know, where plastic containers go to die. Someone actually thought I was doing some sort of a food experiment.
  • Seriously, it is the best $15-20 you'll be spending. It is quite the eye-opener for actual quantities and portion sizes. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you'll find. Good luck to you!
  • How about measuring your food? Do you use a scale?
  • For me, as a single person, cooking every meal tends to be a chore, although I do enjoy cooking. Yes, that is a contradiction but it's mostly because of the clean up that I don't like. This is why I spend my Sunday mornings food prepping for the entire week. This way my kitchen gets messed up once and then cleaned.
  • Funny this topic just came up! I am currently putting my menu for the week together. I'm making a Benedict-like dish for my breakfast. I'm not putting on bread, since I don't have any around that would work for food prepping purposes. It's basically consisting of salmon, eggs, with an easy cheese sauce. I'm also adding…
  • I don't at a restaurant. I guesstimate to the best of my ability. When I visit my family, which is generally a week long visit, I do take my scale with me.
  • It is not a necessity to close your diary at the end of the day. None of your information or data that you logged gets deleted. I'm not sure how that hinders how much the app can help you.
  • I use Pinterest for almost all of my food prepping. And I've found the import into the recipe builder ROCKS. I adjust just a couple of items to fit my specifics and I'm done. Btw.....I'm sort of a lurker here and I actually feel honored to have YOU like something I have shared. I really enjoy your posts @Francl27 .
  • I just happen to be perusing on Pinterest. I used "5 ingredient recipes" as something to query on. I found these two quite quickly and by both look good, at least in my opinion. http://www.buzzfeed.com/christinebyrne/healthy-and-only-five-ingredients?utm_term=.rp1VmVQ1q&sub=4066948_7253306#.jlkk7kZm0…
  • Try to think of this more long term than what drastic changes you can attempt in the short term. The drastic changes in the short term may not have the results you'd ultimately want. (ie. crankiness from too little food, muscle loss.....just to name a few) Be patience with yourself and don't be concerned with the photos.…
  • Most of the time I buy from Aldi. Then it would be Walmart and finally Costco. I live in the upper Midwest.
  • I would eat a block of cheese a day. Yes, I would go to the store and load up on 5 bricks for the work week. And I would eat that with 1/2 of a summer sausage. This was one of my snacks for the day while working. Also, there is no bag of chips that is safe around me. It would turn into an instant feed bag to be strapped on…
  • Don't mean to derail the thread but any others using Walden Farms dressings? I've hear some good and some bad thoughts. Outside of my question, this salad sounds AMAZING.
  • I have 2 love bug/babies that I love with all my heart! <3 But honestly, this thread is making me want to stop by the shelter and buy them all. Seriously.
  • I like you. This is my favorite drink and I call it the Nectar of the Gods. cheers!
