This is what I am doing right now to maintain. I am eating fewer calories during the week and enjoy more treats on the weekends. It has worked for me for maintaining. Good luck

I have chubby knees too - even when I have been very thin all over, my knees remained chubby. I also have, what I think are, chubby calves. I have considered getting liposuction on my knees and calves  But I've learned to ignore them and wear my skirts and shorts anyways! Good luck!

Wow, I need to check out these Quest bars! Did you feel sick at the end of the day?!

Okay, I LOVE salads - love them. BUT they have to be made the way I like them or I don't enjoy them. So maybe you just need to figure out what about a salad will make you enjoy it? Have you tried different lettuces, different toppings, different dressings? Maybe you will enjoy romaine instead of the spring leaves, balsamic…

Hello! I wonder if you are getting sick AND going through sugar withdrawals? First thing though, if you want to kick the sugar habit - you can't have a sugary drink or snack when you are feeling run down. You are just creating an endless pattern of sugar addiction. Typically within 1-2 weeks of not consuming high amounts…

Hi, you are not alone!!! I am also 35 and my weight loss has been slower than ever before!!! I've had many weeks since I started MFP that I lost nothing at all despite eating in my calorie range and exercising more than normal. It's EXTREMELY frustrating and hard to keep motivated!!! I was just reading about "weight loss…

I agree with the others - your shoes may be too small. I've always run in shoes 1/2 size larger than my normal size. The black toe thing is very normal - just comes from so much impact on your nails. When I was training for a 1/2 marathon I got a black toe nail too -- fell off eventually ; / And try to keep your nails cut…

I was a vegetarian for 8 years. I ate Morning Star too (never liked Boca) but you are right, it's very unhealthy. It has so many processed ingredients - I would eat it sparingly and not part of your weekly/daily intake. I also loved "Field Roast" and "Quorn" brand - they are really tasty and more natural than Morning Star.…

I go over my protein every day but I don't worry about it. I feel like the protein limit is low on here. Yes, just eating eggs for breakfast, turkey sandwich for lunch, snack on some greek yogurt, chicken dinner and I've gone over! I feel so much better when I eat higher protein so I'll keep at it. I think as long as you…

I find it harder to get motivated to workout at home. BUT I do like working out at home better because I don't have to worry about what I look like, socializing, I save more time and money working out at home.

I recently gained 6lbs overnight from eating very salty vietnamese food and a few beers! It was scary but I ate perfectly the next two days and went for a jog and went back to normal. Not worth the stress of the temporary weight gain!

First off, are you comparing yourself to shorter women? You are tall which I think has a lot to do with your weight vs. your measurements. I am tall too - 5'11 and weigh 174. My weight is pretty high compared to LOTS of women but has alot to do with my height and athletic build. Being a dancer, you probably do have more…

Hi! I am also hypyo and take 88mcg Levothryoxine (10 years now). You are going to be feeling sooo much better soon!!! My energy levels is where I noticed the most improvement!!! I personally don't think I ever gained weight due to Hypo but I know alot of people do. If your weight was due to Hypo, I think you will…

I go over my fats almost every day - also from nuts, olive oil, avocados, etc. I don't worry about the fats at all since they are healthy fats and I'm still losing weight. I also go over my protein alot too. I just look at the calories and sodium :) Good luck!

You probably won't notice a flat stomach until you are at your goal weight (or within your weight range). I only have a flat stomach when I had around the middle of my "suggested weight range". Every body is different though - I have friends who are very thin all over except their tummy. It just depends on where your body…

About 9 years ago I struggled with major anxiety - I had several panic attacks that sent me to the hospital (seriously thought I was dyeing). It was an extremely hard thing to live with and I know your struggle. Xanax helped me through most days but it made me so unfunctional. I tried a psychologist but it didn't help me…

I have hypothyroid (underactive) and am doing okay. I have never found that my thyroid prevented my weight loss or made me gain. I was diagnosed 10 years and take my medication religiously. But I do know that it does effect a lot of people's weight - Do you feel your thyroid is keeping you from losing weight? Or are you…

I agree with the others - your 5K time using an elliptical or treadmill is not the same as running a 5K on the road. The elliptical and treadmill both "push" you along and do a lot of the work for you

I know how frustrated you feel - I haven't lost much weight either and my clothes don't fit much loser but my belly is much flatter and my love handles are gone - that by itself makes me happy!! Just keep doing what you are doing and you'll get there. Make sure to stick to your calorie goal. I do know that that helps me…

Ohhhhhhh, that would make me see RED!!!!

Been doing Cross Fit 2-3 times per week for past 1.5 years. It was DEFINITELY hard at the beginning!!! It took many months to feel better and stronger. I used to have to nap every single time I worked out because it wore me out so bad and I was always SOOOOO sore...but now I can get through the WODs pretty easy and feel…

I definitely weigh in first thing in the morning - Fridays are my weigh in days. I only weigh in AFTER I have used the restroom and before any coffee or water :) I want every ounce off before I weigh in, ha! I HATE to weigh in after I have eaten or drunk liquids - why bother seeing extra weight! But I see your point :)…

Hello! I also do Cross Fit and have run a 1/2 marathon and recently a 15K. To be honest, I had to cut back on Cross Fit because it was too taxing on my body to also add 3-4 days of running. I went down to 1-2 days cross fit and did 3-4 days of running (2-3 short runs and 1 long run). I think one advantage you have is that…

That's funny. Have you ever tried walking without moving your arms? Doesn't feel comfortable (or look attractive), haha!! The only thing I can think of is that not moving your arms restricts your body's momentum to move forward so that in turn uses more energy? I say keep moving your arms :)

I only burn that much when I run for 45 minutes or more (at a 9.5-10 minute pace). Every other workout is way less - around 100 calories. If you are wanting to get to the 500 mark - you will just need to increase your workout time and increase your intensity (use a heart rate monitor to help you with that). :)

It can certainly be your body's reaction to sugar withdrawals especially if your diet was high in sugar before. Does eating a piece of fruit or a spoonful of honey make you feel better? I would say your first 5-10 days are going to be hard and you aren't going to feel well but you should eventually not have anymore…

I am making my goal a certain pant size instead of a number on the scale :) I have been on MFP for 6 weeks now and even though the scale only shows 3.5lb loss - I feel and look soo much better. I have a much flatter tummy and no more "love handles". That too is a wonderful goal I hit :) Good luck!

It was hard for me the first week too! I think it takes time for your body to adjust to the fewer calories but you should soon see that you get more satisfied and less hungry. I still do have some days that I am extra hungry (especially around that time of month). Snacking on low calorie foods is a great idea. I will…

Let me just say that I go through the SAME thing. I exercise 4-5 times per week (running and cross fit) and eat really healthy. Over the last year, I have not lost ANY weight. 5 weeks ago I started counting calories to see if that will help me finally lose weight. I have only lost 3lbs in the 5 weeks (though I am eating at…

Interesting! I have run over a dozen races and have never seen a request to not wear headphones! I am guessing it's just a safety thing?? Maybe wanting runners to be more aware of their surroundings? Or just the race officials' personal preference for runners not to wear headphones. I cannot run without music! ;)
