Congratulations to everyone!! :drinker: You're all doing soo good. Keep up the good work. I will be weighing myself next week, for my mental sanity, and also because I weight tends to fluctuate a lot and I don't want to be discouraged. I am still hitting the gym 3-4x a week, and watching what I eat, hopefully this week as…

It really depends for me. If I am really hungry, and I'm within a hour and a half of my meal, I just eat my meal early and tell myself I can eat a snack later if I am hungry. Most of the time, I fall asleep before I get hungry again lol. If I'm not that hungry, then I grab a filling fruit (e.g. pear, mango, banana, grapes)…

^^^ exactly this. I gave up on abs day 3 weeks ago. I consider my leg day abs day because all my workouts require me to use/focus on my core muscles. Little my little, I can see some definition forming.

Talk about pressure! and motivation. My advice would be to start off slow so you don't get overwhelmed or stressed. Start buying healthy foods YOU like to eat. Start exercising slow and listen to your body, drink lots of water. The first week or two, you're likely be sore. You'll be surprised how fast your body adapts and…

Hey ladies! Happy hump day! Jumping rope is a killer exercise, you'll feel those calves right away. I remember when I first started, thinking it was going to be as easy as it was in my childhood. After 30 seconds, I quickly realized otherwise. Didn't even last a minute :embarassed: . I gave up after 2 weeks, and moved on…

Weight training! After 2 weeks of consistency, it shuts my appetite down like no other. Often find myself forcing myself to eat dinner lol.

You are simply amazing!!! It's weird how the universe works: all of a sudden something clicks and you get overwhelmed with a need to change. You took that opportunity and changed your lifestyle around. That must have been difficult, but you did sooo good, soo good. Keep up the good work Courtney!! :drinker: You've inspired…

Hey guy! Another Canadian here! From MTL It seems I've been trying to lose 10 pounds since I was born. I could never get past 5lbs, then again I've never ate clean & workout simultaneously :ohwell: My goals: Be able to run at 6mph for 15mins straight (I could only do 2 mins right now lol) Build my quads (I want them to POP…

I'm excited. I really want to tone up my quads, and lose a couple inches everywhere, except my boobs&butt hehe. I weighted myself a couple weeks ago, at 136.2lbs, at the gym. The scale I have at home is not reliable.

I agree with megsmom2, 1700 is pretty low. Try playing around with you MFP goal setting (choosing how many lbs you want to lose in a week), and it'll tell you what your daily caloric intake should be. Good luck on your journey!

Thanks for enlightening me on caloric intake! My question is, if my goal is to lose weight and build muscle, how much of my exercise calories do I eat back? I presently consume about an average of 1400-1500 calories daily. I workout 4 times a week, in which I burn about 400 calories (not including weight training). I…

I agree with the person above me: cardio to help burn the fat, and a lot of strength training, like squats, lunges, and machine workouts (if possible) to tone them up. I have thighs that need toning up as well. Most importantly, eat well. Good luck!

2 for 1 why not? lol

I think it's a good step to start logging or keep track of your calories. You can do it temporarily just to see how much you're truly eating. Taking into consideration how many calories you are burning per session, I honestly think you may be eating too little. Not eating enough deprives your body from getting an adequate…

Hey guys, nice to meet people with similar goals. My goal is to lose 10-11 pounds and drop to 125, or at least be in the 120's by summer. I also desperately want to tone up my quads, my fat holds their daily group sessions there lol. I am currently 136lbs.
