Hey, I'm by no means low carb, just relating what I have read on various low-carb posts, threads and boards.

No, I'm not saying anything about being wrong or right. What I said it true though, some low-carb dieters don't eat at a deficit. Some do. That's all I'm saying.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying not to let it get to me, but man, what a blow!

*sigh* Many pro low-carb dieters will tell you to pay no attention to calories, just focus on low carbs. Some pro-low carb dieters will tell you you MUST eat a deficit to see a loss. Many anti low-carb dieters will tell you it's not what you eat, it's calories in vs calories out. IIFYM-ers will tell you eat what you want…

Yeah, I'm going to keep going because I want to run a mini-marathon next April. I do think my pace is WAY too fast.

That's a really weird thing for him to say. But some people are happy being bigger- I think that whole Big is Beautiful campaign is to thank for that.

Eat when you want. I find that I don't like to eat too late because laying down with a full stomach makes me feel bad. But there's no real "dinner should be at this time" time. Do whatever works best for you and your schedule/ family.

People tell you what they want you to hear or see. Don't beat yourself up or compare yourself to others. It's a slippery slope. Use others to motivate you, but don't make your life about being like theirs.

Carrot chips, but I'm drinking a cup of chicken broth atm.

It's hard to measure because you can measure in one spot one month, then be slightly higher the next month on lets say your torso, and the reading will be off.

I recently started running outside (okay i did it once) and it went so badly, I just do not want to do it again. Ever. I know it's a terrible mindset but I was getting better at running on the treadmill and then I went outside and it was SO BAD AND HARD.

Little Debbie cakes. I will eat the whole box in a day. I don't care. So I just... don't buy them lol. I am weak.

I usually run for 20 minutes or so, like 1 minute at 4.0, 1.5 minute at 6.0, 1 minute at 4.0, 2 minutes at 6.2, 1 minute at 4.0, 2.5 minutes at 6.4, etc etc until I get to 7, then I go backwards. Then I do arms or legs, and then usually finish off with the bike and stretching.

I prelog my meals every morning when I lay in bed before starting my day. It's soothing to me and helps me stay in line, but I do agree, it can get obsessive.
-

It's a staple for high fat diets, but on a low fat diet, it could easily eat up your whole day. I can't cook eggs in anything else though, honestly. Otherwise they burn lol.

After years of struggling with insecurities, I learned not to rely on other's for compliments. I struggle with depression and anxiety, and during the "low points" I really let myself go physically- no more curled hair, no makeup, etc. It brings me down and I get sucked into this shame spiral. But then I "do things for me"-…

Are you new to a low carb diet? People have said the first few weeks are rough.

I've been stuck in a rut of Quest bars for breakfast with a black coffee. I've been trying to clean my fridge and drawers out though, so I'm ready for a big grocery trip so I want to get some good cereal. Lunch is usually 8-10oz of protein, a pasta or rice side and a veggie or salad. Dinner is either a regular meal,…

At least you don't have a child with him. You can just move on.

I talk to someone close to me. When it began to affect my day to day life, I reached out to a therapist. When I became suicidal, I told my counselor and got treatment.

I met my boyfriend on OkCupid and we're more than a year strong, but before him, I went out with a guy who took me to O'Charleys. No big deal, that place is fine. But it turns out he used to work there so all these random people kept coming up to him the whole night (I think he wanted to seem really popular?). He also cut…

I think they run a little on the small side. I have a fitted tank and yoga pants, got an XL in the tank and a L in the pants. They are fitted, wish I would have gotten an XL in the pants. I'm normally a 10 or a 12 in regular jeans.
