I am 5'3" and if someone is telling me to eat 1200cals a day I am probably going to be ripping some heads off. I agree with your probably somewhere between 1600-1800 to have any energy to go about your day. You are not giving it enough time to come back down. Give it a few days. You would have had to eat an insane amount of food to gain 9 pounds. Water retention weight post vacation always takes me a few days to shed and then I am back to my regular weight

Even better...they have dark chocolate. And you can get it in regular grocery stores. I am not so fond of the price though. I just get whatever one that is priced right that is just peanuts or maybe a tiny amount of salt.

most people get more then enough salt in their diet already. No reason to add more unless you are going to go hard at it for over an hour or two. I'd then work on maybe replenishing some of those electrolytes. But mainly listen to your body. If you feel fine after then you are probably doing it right already

egg beaters is a processed product. I'd personally stay away from it. They do sell actual egg whites and nothing but in the container here as well though, which is not the same thing as egg beaters. But, IMO, eat the whole egg. Your missing the best part. Cut calories a different way.

Are you running in actual running shorts or gym shorts? If running shorts and that is still happening I'd recommend some tight lycra shorts. No riding up in those puppies. And in the extreme heat and humidity it has a double bonus of not causing chafing that comes with the heat.

I do all my workouts with no shoes. I strength train at home and have always done it barefoot. I've been doing P90X for a few weeks now and every workout has been barefoot.

I would say you under hydrated on your ride. I go through about a bottle an hour as a general rule of thumb. It of course varies a bit depending on the temperature but that is still my plan of action.
