  • For me as well, minus the jam. Toast and PB every single day. When I don't have it I get a little sad
  • This, Pressure Cooker makes it so easy. I do mine different. I have an Instant Pot, which makes it a bit easier. I put them in on the rack with a little water in there, low pressure for 6 minutes, then let them sit in there for 5 minutes after the pressure is done. Then into the ice bath. Perfect eggs that are easy to peel…
  • First off, that says serves 4, so no you are not eating a pound of meat. And yes, it does look like she intends you to just eat that. Good luck with that diet plan
  • I am 5'3" and if someone is telling me to eat 1200cals a day I am probably going to be ripping some heads off. I agree with your probably somewhere between 1600-1800 to have any energy to go about your day. Just keep those calories good calories and not full of junk and that will be plenty of food to give you all day…
  • Um, no one is saying drink juice instead of diet coke. Matter of fact they say stay away from juice. Now, drink water instead of diet coke and let me know how it goes in 5 weeks. That's an experiment I could get behind. Note, I do not drink pop at all, diet or not, cause I do not like it, and I don't drink juice cause it…
  • coyotes. No way I am wearing music, one of those little buggers might sneak up on me
  • You are not giving it enough time to come back down. Give it a few days. You would have had to eat an insane amount of food to gain 9 pounds. Water retention weight post vacation always takes me a few days to shed and then I am back to my regular weight
  • Personally I would do the leg workouts. Running only works in one plan of motion so getting an imbalance that in turns causes such things as your experiencing is not unusual. I chose to go the route of getting ART (which helped so much) and the cause of my pain was weak hips. After working on them and ensuring I now keep…
  • stir fry's. Salads topped with a ton of fresh veggies and grilled meat. Burger minus the bun with a nice side of veggies.
  • Even better...they have dark chocolate. And you can get it in regular grocery stores. I am not so fond of the price though. I just get whatever one that is priced right that is just peanuts or maybe a tiny amount of salt.
  • head cold fine, fever no.
  • most people get more then enough salt in their diet already. No reason to add more unless you are going to go hard at it for over an hour or two. I'd then work on maybe replenishing some of those electrolytes. But mainly listen to your body. If you feel fine after then you are probably doing it right already
  • egg beaters is a processed product. I'd personally stay away from it. They do sell actual egg whites and nothing but in the container here as well though, which is not the same thing as egg beaters. But, IMO, eat the whole egg. Your missing the best part. Cut calories a different way.

  • peanuts + food processor = peanut butter.
  • Store bought cookies and cake (even if they are made at the "bakery"). Homemade all the way for me. I am generally really disappointed with the taste of anything store bought and feel like I have wasted my calories. Milk chocolate or low quality chocolate in general. If I have poor quality chocolate I finish it and want…
  • You actually did judge her. You made the statement that she was taking this personally. But the rest of your advice was pretty solid. I think she probably took your statement as harsh cause of that one line and the fact there are a few that seem to think she's all up in arms about this. It is the one statement that really…
  • Wow, some folks are being hard on the OP on her post about something she wondered about. it is a pretty legit decision point about what is good feedback and what might not be good feedback and there are multiple ways of thinking about it. She's not attacking anyone. Some folks just need to chill a bit I think. Glad there…
  • not to mention they will do nothing for getting ride of cellulite. Surgery would get rid of it though. You can lesson the appearance of it by slimming and toning but that's it. Only time I am wearing neoprene is when I am getting into my wetsuit to do an open water swim for a triathlon. And you can't sweat fat. You can…
  • There are a few trains of thought as to how many reps to do and it really comes down to your goals. My guess is you want to get lean and not really build size right? Technically you'd build size either way but then we get into technicalities. If your goal is to get lean and strong then you should be aiming for the 12-15…
  • do the 30 day shred and hope for rain and if it does double up with the run in the rain. I am doing P90X today, Plyometrics.
  • Are you running in actual running shorts or gym shorts? If running shorts and that is still happening I'd recommend some tight lycra shorts. No riding up in those puppies. And in the extreme heat and humidity it has a double bonus of not causing chafing that comes with the heat.
  • She must be hard to walk given that she is upside down. lol I have two dogs that do not get along and one is a pretty big idiot around other dogs. Big dogs with lots of energy so I run both....individually. I get lots of running in. I run one dog, come back home, then run the other. I dream of the day I can run them…
  • take measurements using a tape measure. Way better way to measure progress
  • you do not need a recovery drink, no matter how many times dude says it on the DVD. You could just eat regular food after. I always work out before breakfast and just have my breakfast after. Same result.
  • The thing I see about this site is the calories it recommends for you based on the answers to your lifestyle and what you want to lose are with a deficit already. Basically they are hedging their bets (correctly) that diet is the best way to lose weight and so pretend you are not exercising when they set up your daily…

  • I do all my workouts with no shoes. I strength train at home and have always done it barefoot. I've been doing P90X for a few weeks now and every workout has been barefoot.
  • how long have you been with this trainer? If a week or two I'd just ask him what the future plans are and how he sees this working on going and make a decision then. IMO though you have been working with a trainer for a long time and should have learned enough to work without a trainer. Are you using the trainer for…
  • If you are feeling lightheaded in between meals you should eat something. Yes that does mean less for dinner but you should be looking for balance, not eating as much as you can at dinner. You could also have hypoglycemia potentially and if so you would need to eat more frequently. I am just bringing that up though based…
  • I would say you under hydrated on your ride. I go through about a bottle an hour as a general rule of thumb. It of course varies a bit depending on the temperature but that is still my plan of action.
  • A tampon is a wonderful thing. Swim away...
