Hello,

I have been on this ap for a couple of weeks and I can't get my head around the fact that when I exercise I 'earn' calories. Does this mean I have to eat the earned calorie equivallent on top of my daily allowance?

Also I am aiming for 1100 (ish) calories a day, is this too little??

The thing I see about this site is the calories it recommends for you based on the answers to your lifestyle and what you want to lose are with a deficit already. Basically they are hedging their bets (correctly) that diet is the best way to lose weight and so pretend you are not exercising when they set up your daily goal. Therefore when you work out you will be putting yourself into to big a deficit if you do not eat back those calories. of course this depends on a few things like how fast you wanted to lose and how much you exercise but if you said you wanted to lose two pounds a week and then went and exercised an hour a day you'd be in a pretty big goal. And this tends to lead to no energy and stalled weight loss at some point.

And yes, 1100ish is too little. Unless you are like 4'5" or something like that. Stay at or above 1200 NET.
