I think you are also going through withdrawl from sugar....I know you still eat it, but if you were drinking 6 cans a day and then went to nothing? Your symptoms are similar to withdrawl...and like everyone is saying, "hypoglycemia". Make sure you get protein with every meal or snack...healthy fats too. Carbs will help in…

You are nursing a baby twice a day...apparently, you burn about 20-30 cals for every ounce of milk you pump out or feed to your baby? So say your baby gets 3 oz( probably drinks more tho) per feed that's approx 80 or so calories...multiply that by 2 so 160...and that's just a ball park...baby could be drinking way more!…

I too have a difficult time staying motivated...I will do well for 3 months, then fall off for a bit then get back on the saddle. I find searching this site is very motivational. LOTS of tools, stories, hints, THE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOs are a great motivation for me. I also have 2 young daughters that i have to set an…

definitly possible....especially in that first week of eating clean. Remember, alot of it is water and not "weight" or fat. I lost 5 lbs my first week. Just keep sticking to what you are doing..stay within your calorie total and remember, in a couple of weeks, it's normal to lose 0.5-1.5 lbs a week. I have prepped my mind…

Hey! I have joined too! as this was one of my mini goals! I think this is a great support network and happy to meet all of you! LETS GET ER DONE!

I think there are many reasons for eating crap, not logging, etc. I got tired and lazy with it. And I think my "all or nothing" thinking/mind set is another issue for me. Not sure how to NOT have all or nothing thinking...there is a never in between or happy medium....I wasn't logging, so why bother eating healthy....makes…

Thanks I was planning on staying away from the scale for at least a month...but i will measure myself just to see.
-
phjorg, the numbers aren't my priority, so really its not completely about the number on the scale....although it is a little...just the 200 number...i HATE it! if i was 199 for the rest of my life I seriously wouldn't care so much...200's is just a number I hate and don't like to be. I do like to go by my clothes as a…

Bump...looks very good

I completely agree with everyone's advice with increasing calories! So i ate 2000 cals (1800 plus my 200 extra for nursing) and guess what???? I lost 3.5 lbs in one week!!! ANNNNNNNNNdddd, my period is due tomorrow...(normally I can put on 5 lbs of water with that)! I am sure all my years of yo yo dieting makes my body…

Thanks all! I kinda new it was the drop in cals...or so i thought. And that's what the second part of my question was....do i wait it out? or just go back to my eating 1800 cals PLUS the 200 i allow for breastfeeding? I will increase them and see what happens. My baby is almost 10 months old and eating solids now...BUT, I…

"so you just randomly dropped to 1700 a day sometime in the two weeks that you didn't weigh? " And the answer to that is "no". MFP adjusted mine prior to that...and since then i haven't had a loss. Am I not being clear enough?
-
it's often 300 cals less a day b/c I havent' been eating my 200 that i allot for breastfeeding
-
It's not been one week...it's actually been 3 as i weighed myself 2 weeks ago and then again today...so 3 weeks of no weight loss. And the only reason I went down in cals is b/c MFP readjusted my numbers and i just figured it should do it!
-
I know...it's just so frustrating. I work hard at counting all my calories, exercise 3 x a week (not lots, but it's what I can do with baby, older child, etc). I think when i decreased my cals, i just assumed that I would have a huge loss...NOPE! So do i just stay put with what I am doing now? or do I increase my cals back…

I too get 1800 cals...but started heavier. I am now 221 and get 1720...your BMR will change depending on what you tick for "activity"...whether active or sedentary, etc. I am also 5'6". I would stay at your highest cals if you can...the only reason I went lower is b/c I had a 3 day binge of "not so good foods".
-
I just came off of a 3 day, "eat whatever I want binge"...then got my period and feel so bloated and disgusted with myself. I'm pleased to say I am back to making healthy choices, eating well, counting my cals! I am on week 6 and this is the first time this has happened to me (although I always get cravings before my…

Well, to my UNEXPECTED surprise, today is weigh in day and I FRICKEN lost 6 lbs this week! OMG! I eat 1700-1800 cals and sometimes more as I am breastfeeding and was NOT expecting this at all! I didn't lose anything last week and was quite bummed but trudged along...then friday night was a crazy binge night'....again, not…

Thanks so much!

Wow wow WOW!! You look super healthy and happy! Way to inspire us all! THANK YOU for sharing
-
Are you eating back any of your calories that you burn? Also, maybe bump up your daily cals to 1500 and just see? Maybe you are not eating enough? And drink TONS of water...like 2-3 litres a day
-
Under my cals today by 343! Feels good to be back in control! New day! New week! Thanks again everyone!
-
Everyone is so awesome here...thanks! So i went over my daily cals by 915...not the end of the world..but it was the choices I made...chips, pop, choc, cookies! TOTAL crap...that's what was so shocking..that I just didn't stop with one type of bad food. My daily cals are 1800 for the day, and I ended up eating 2700. I am…

Thanks everyone....I know it's done, I can't do anything about it. Thought journaling my feelings might help! Or just even writting all the food down to see what I was shoving into my body...it's crazy when you go mindless with food! It actually coulda been worse tho...i guess! THanks so much everyone...i love the support…

thanks! I was actually thinking that maybe in the upcoming weeks I will have a real sweet loss like 5 lbs to make up for the weeks that i don't lose...that would be kinda exciting! Okay..will start looking at it more on a monthly loss than weekly.
