I dont comment too much on the various posts, but i do read a lot and try to get good insight and advice. I can empathize as I have read some nasty posts, and I can't tell if they were being blunt, well intended, or just being a mean jerk. I guess my goal was to just get on the bike at any level. This week I totaled 24.85 miles, lets round that up to 25!

If you have a smart phone I suggest getting the RunKeeper app, which is free. It logs your activity and gives an accurate calorie burn. You can log walking, running, hiking, cycling, and other activities. You are on the right track! Way to go!

What happens after September? The best approach is not to think about dieting, but to definitely have a healthy outlook on eating and lifestyle, but let that persist and be your new way of living. Then you will have confidence in maintaining whatever goals you set.

Hoping the Rangers bring back the cup. The rangers have gone for long stretches of time (decades) without the cup. 1994 was the last time (thank you Messier) and I think before that was 1939-40 season. So, LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!

I would only echo what others have said. You are taking the first steps, and there is support out there for you. It is intimidating when you feel you have insurmountable goals, but in seeing the awesome progress of so many on MFP it is within your reach and nothing is insurmountable.
