How to make salad taste good? I made a list of all the vegetables I "like", meaning the ones I will actually swallow. I found the BEST salad dressing for me, Newman's Own Lite Balsamic, which has GREAT flavor! I add nuts and/or seeds, hard boiled egg and meat for protein. It is delicious and filling and I'm eating…

Like many others, I find it difficult to recover from a cheat day. I do allow the occasional cheat MEAL, like when I'm invited to someone's house for a meal or when I find myself at a restaurant (which is rare for me) or if I find I'm just having some crazy craving that I can't kick. These cheat meals are few and far…

Thank you so much for your responses! cwsreddy-thnaks, recipe builder! missyjane824-ladles! That could work, thanks! obsidianwings-yes, that's probably what I should do, but I didn't want to try to do that with a big hot crockpot cwurch-that's it! thanks! I think what I'll do next time is jot down all the calories I'm…

I just ordered the sample box from Quest. Oh my word! What FUN! We cut each one into 4 pieces to try each flavor (not in one day). We started with all the chocolate ones. There's so many great flavors, but a few are really horrible (in my opinion). I love nougat candy and I can't believe how crazy delicious some of these…

For the month of March, I'm planning on trying to build some muscle. The problem is, being morbidly obese, I can't do a lot of moves, but I'm going to try SOMETHING. I think bodyweight exercise will be more than challenging. I recently found this and I think I might try it:…

Wondering what DVD you used?

Calorie counting is a tool for me. Before I was just eating whatever I wanted and most of what I wanted was processed food. Counting calories has helped me with my portion sizes and has helped me to get a grasp on what's healthy as far as macros go. I'm glad I'm counting calories, but I don't see doing it forever, it's…

What a remarkable change, GOOD JOB!

The digital scale is my number one tool! Just like anything new, it might be awkward at first, but you'll get so good that you won't need it anymore for foods you eat all the time. I can pour 120g of almond milk on my cereal now without looking almost! For many foods in the database, if I can't find the gram…

I'm going to give them a try since I'm looking for a low glycemic snack or something to have in my purse when I can't get to real food.

Here's the supportive Wacoal bra: http://www.wacoal-america.com/awareness-full-coverage-underwire-t-shirt-bra-wacoal-853167-p.html but the photo doesn't make it look like the full coverage that it is, there's a new color called Aquatic, that photo is closer…

I have always had trouble finding good supporting bras for every day, even when I was in normal weight ranges. Bras have been the bane of my existence. Right now I'm a 44DD(+). I FINALLY found a solution that is good enough for bouncing on a trampoline for me! It isn't a sports bra. Here's what I do: I have an underwire…

Welcome! I just joined, too, though I've been on my weight loss journey for two years. I've made little changes, a little at a time. Is there one little change you can start making tomorrow to get you started? Feel free to add me as your friend.

Welcome back. I'm new here as of this week. Remember, this is all part of your process, you've lost it before, so you know you can do it again. Calories don't lie. You know what you need to do. Keep going! Feel free to add me as a friend!

Hi all you wonderful short ladies! (Do you ever find that your friends are super tall? I have a friend who is 6' 8", why is that!?) I started my journey in Jan 2012, two years ago. I lost 12 pounds and gained it back in May 2012 and have been more interested in establishing good habits than burning fat, so I don't have…

I completely relate to you, icetopaz, in trying to find the right thing for you. I just couldn't MOVE very well when I started my journey. There was no way I could: do stairs, bend over, twist, bounce, lunge, pushups or do many movements. I've been on the lookout for two years for things I can do. In Jan 2012, I started by…

I really appreciate both of your comments, thanks. Diane, thank you for your post. I feel better now knowing not to worry too much about macros. I'm really glad to be here!

Hi Mike, I just joined MFP two days ago and your story is SO INSPIRING! Thanks for posting all those pictures, it's just awesome to see how you've SHRUNK!

I'm very morbidly obese and have difficulty with movement and exercise. I recently found Fitness Blender's Easy Warm Up Cardio on YouTube and I'm adding that to my daily walk. It's a lot of exercise for me! I really like their videos. Good luck to you!
