  • I had the same problem and ran through it. The frozen water bottle is the best, I had one at home and one at work. I run 4-5 miles a day at work and I actually can't remember when my PF stopped bothering me but I never stopped running/stretching. Good luck

  • I eat every two hours, starting with breakfast at 6:00AM and I don't eat after 6:00PM. I lost 52 lbs in 8 weeks at the beginning of the year and have kept it off using this method. Snacks are always fruits/yogurt/protein bars or shakes. I record it all in myfitnesspal and try not to exceed my calorie goal for the day.
  • The holidays aren't special because of the foods that are prepared. Why change anything? Stay on your plan, enter your calories/workouts and stay the course. Why eat candy or pies or any other "holiday" food just because everyone else does? Make good choices and you won't have to pay for it.

  • You definitely need to get fitted for running specific shoes. There are many types: http://www.runningshoetypes.com/ Let professionals fit you and you will avoid many injuries. Acsics, Saucony and Brooks make good shoes and spending $100 or so now will save you in the long run. Good luck and keep running!
  • Go to a specialty running store and getting fitted for the correct shoe for your footstrike. Start slow, allowing yourself time to warm up. Do your stretching AFTER your run rather than before. If you still feel soreness, treat with ice and ibuprofen after your runs.
