Exercise wise, I do an hours HIT sports based cardio twice a week, hour weights 3 times a week, and a body combat class once a week. I walk everywhere, so at least 30 mins walking every day. The days I eat bigger clothes are days I burn 900 plus calories from activities, based on fitbit results
-
I use my fitbit to log exercise, but for now I have added roughly what I burn each workout to give me an estimate for meal planning. I will use the furniture results on the day and remove the estimate so that's it's more accurate. My estimates though reflect what fitbit usually does. I do some intense workouts though

*meant body coach lol

Hmm I see your point lol. I guess I will try it for couple weeks and see what happens. I usually have a big deficit on work out days and starving the next day. Also hit a plateau. Maybe thus is why, I'm not eating enough on these days
-
No, just the post work out meals
-
Some of the meals work out higher than I'd expect for a diet book. Nervous to try it
-
No per meal
-
Homous and veggies, nuts and seeds, boiled egg, mini cheeses, protein bar or shake, Greek yoghurt
-
No! that seems a very low amount already, and not eating enough can make your body store calories and therefore stop you loosing. Have you thought about a workout DVD you can do at home once the kids are in bed? There are also lots of tips for home workouts on YouTube

i keep a bag of frozen berries and chuck it in with a banana and whatever greeens i have in at the time eg spinach, kale. I'm not finding that i often but stuff in for them. More a case of using up stuff .
-
I have just switched to using frozen fruits instead of fresh, and tend to chuck in leftover greens from the day before or odds and ends from the fridge. this has saved a little bit.

It doesnt help that i have an active family, who are constantly hungry. My OH cycles 8 miles a day to and from work, and plays American football (so has a massive appettite) plus we hit the gym together 4 times a week. I walk up to 5 miles a day too. So we may be eating bigger portions compared to less active families.…

Tomw86 How are you managing this? i spend 70 - 100 for 2 adults and a child

i dont like to buy frozen meat and fish, as often pumped full of water, meaning you actually get less for your money. My Dad used to work in a eat proccessing factory, and was a fisherman for a while, and he's told me so many stories of what they do to the meat/fish before it's frozen.

I dont understand why it's working out so much more expensive for me. Typical day, like today, consists of wholewheat toast with avocado and tomato with a green smoothie, homous and veggie sticks as mid morning snack. Soup, ryvita and piece of fruit for lunch, mid afternoon treat of couple squares chocolate. Dinner protein…

I buy fresh good quality fish and meat, fresh veg and fruit, nuts etc. All meals are prepared fresh and i use processed ingredients as little as possible. I have soups for lunch, and green smoothies for breakfast, snacking on homous and veggies, nuts etc inbetween meals. There are 2 adults and a 5 year old. I'm even…

yep, i try to eat roughly every 2-3 hours. 3 light meals of around 400 cals and 2 snacks 100-200 cals, and a low cal hot choc after dinner to curb the craving to snack in the evenings. Works a treat. Also add in a protein shake after gym sessions, that i drink on the walk home , to prevent raiding the kitchen when i get…

I eat plenty of fruit and veggies in my diet. I use the greens as a booster first thing in the morning. The one I use is from Bulk Powders and contains 7 different greens including spiralina. I just don't know whether juicing would be better, so can have a green smoothie in the morning instead.

How much would you suggest? I was under the impression, the more cardio the better. Have read that an hour cardio a day is ideal for weight loss
-
It's Les Mills Body Pump
-
so, it's rubbish then? I only wholegrain bread, and brown rice and pasta.
-
I weights lift for an hour 3 x a week
-
what do you mean by resistance training?

hi, I'm 5 4, and just hit my 60lbs loss this weekend. It feels amazing! 23lb left to go. You can do it!!
-
This is what I thought, and said to friends who swear by it. Just wanted to check whether there was something I didn't know about it, as so many people seem to be doing it.

Thanks, this is really helpful information. I have tried to hit my protein for today and tomorrow, and stopping quick add. Although I am now way over on my fat.
-
I've just pre planned my food intake for tomorrow and Friday. Feel free to have a look and give me any input. I've altered it with increasing protein in mind
-
I mainly do classes at the gym, which are full body workouts with stretching at the end. I thought all the stretching would limit soreness. I eat a protein bar after a session. Any suggestions on how I can up my protein without going over my calorie allowance. Usually I have avocado or peanut butter on toast , fruit and…

I count all fruit and veg, except melon and green veg, eg celery, cucumber, spinach.... as mainly water. Apple and peaches are high in sugar, so I count them. However, they are very low calorie, at about 60-80, so wouldn't really do any harm if you're hungry.

yeah true, it's my own fault. Was my first alcoholic drink and 'cheat' food in about 2 months, so I don't want to feel guilty, just kick myself and get motivated again. Back in the gym this evening.
