So excited to find this topic in the MFP forum :-). I am currently on day 10 of the whole 30. Going pretty well although hubby has been sick and my body is fighting of the bug so i've been pretty exhausted of late. Days 3 to 8 i had tonnes of energy however. I have not stepped on the scales and am only tracking to keep…

Add me if you like. I'm gluten and dairy free and most of the time find it relatively easy to find options without eating processed dairy and gluten alternatives.

Like you, i am allergic to the protein in milk. I think it's probably harder then being lactose free because there are so many lactose free products on the market (cheese, milk and yoghurt substitutes). Soy is an option but can be harmful. I prefer coconut milk, almond milk and/rice milk. I am also gluten free but tend to…

Nutrition definitely. Sure some people still feel great regardless of what they eat but for me, if i eat crap food, i feel like crap and don't feel like exercising.

I'm gluten free, dairy free and mostly processed sugar free. My diet is mostly from whole foods instead of packaged gluten free processed foods. Sometimes it takes a bit of extra planning but i feel so much better eating this way that it is definitely worth it. Feel free to add me if you want some more support.

I rarely eat processed sugar (exception was a gluten free brownie i had to day) but was always going over on sugar. Why? Because i eat fruit. If i had a habit of eating processed sugar and no fruit then i might be concerned but because it's mainly fruit, i changed by goals to 50g.

How about cooking a nice romantic meal at home to share together. Gift giving for V-day shouldn't be an expectation.

Some Saturated fat is important in our diets as it helps our bodies absorb the vitamins A, D, E, and K (these are soluble in fat only). Coconut oil is also nature's richest source of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), also called medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs. By contrast, most common vegetable or seed oils are…

What... coconut oil is super healthy but you could try macadamia or almond oil as that would compliment the peanut butter.
-
i dunno i'm pretty addicted to a blend of coconut cream/oil, cocoa & a little honey... poured into ice cube trays and frozen. Delish but not exactly a lower calorie option.

Dry roasted pistachios and raw almonds

yea of corse.. even fruit and veg can add up to a lot of calories especially things like banana, potatoes, etc. I don't get my knickers in a knot though if my diary goes over on sugar allowance due to fruit & veg.

how about spaghetti squash with a cheese sauce (can make with skim milk, flour and cheese) or even just steamed mixed veggies with a cheese sauce, instead of mac and cheese. Wholemeal pita bread or a thin wrap instead of sliced bread. Baked potatoes: just cover whole potato in foil, put in oven to bake until soft, when…

SOY is bad. K so i used to not have a problem eating and drinking soy products (as i'm allergic to dairy) but except for the occasional soy sauce and fermented soy, i try and steer clear of them. I believe they have played a part in hormonal issues, sluggish thyroid and lack of ovulation. I would much rather have meat then…

at 166cm and only 46kg, you are already very very very underweight. That gives you a body mass index of 16.7 (anything under 18.5 is underweight). BMI Categories: Underweight = <18.5 Normal weight = 18.5–24.9 Overweight = 25–29.9 Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmi-m.htm

Baked beans.. all time hate. and similar type of tinned foods like gross tinned spaghetti. YUK. I would rather eat haggis then a spoonful of baked beans.

Lol this thread is good for a laugh. Hopefully i wont have to add a bad proposal story. I nagged him a while ago coz we've bought a house together, talked about getting married and always get the 'so when are you guys getting married' question. I've told him a couple of poorly planned proposals (guy just throwing the ring…

I dont know much about it but i dont think i could go without any fruit or veg in the initial stages.
-
Not even if they're cooked?? That would suck.

Spinach contain oxalic acids, to reduce the amount of acids in the spinach you should boil in water for 1 minute and discard the water. Spinach also contains oxalates which can interfere with the absorption of iron and calcium.
