I could see that if it were under... (I have seen that also). Now I am looking at all this extra mac n cheese and want to split it up. but at an extra 240 calories per plate.... Grrrrr :noway:

I think this has more impact than most realize. When I start getting sluggish it is usually becasue I am not eating enough... or if I am at goal maybe I measured something wrong. It's intresiting ahat a 100 extra calories can do for you when you feel run down.

Most people have probably noticed and just not said anything due to weight loss being so sensitive an issue. Do this... get picture from your highest weight and compare to current. The belt is stopping most dragging... but the pants really are starting to be way to large. The extra fabric is falling out from under the belt. I'm not complaining though. Just Happy!

Just to play devils advocate here..... If you aren't weigning the individual ingredients I dont think it will make that big of a difference. For instance is that extra weight from bread or cheese? MFP sets your calories based on what you want to lose per week. You just consume what it tells you.

My great big plates look so empty now with proper portion sizes. A 4oz steak is super small. I saw the video about weighing before I started good so I didn't have a chance to be set in to bad a habit.

My goal is currently just over 1600 a day. I eat back enough exercise calories to get over 1200 net. I also stay aware of the fact that I can add an extra 500 if needed and still lose weight (I don't often). So far only one week of struggle and I was on vacation. Best of luck to you and your goals.

Heh.. I use "No salt added" variety's of canned. Guess what.. They still have a low sodium content. I think that means no salt added for flavoring. Canning still uses salt. One of the reasons looking into Frozen. My wife does not need any extra salt.

The calories seemed high.... But if i understand you correctly you ran almost 6 miles in that timeframe? I would say this is pretty correct. To give a comparison if I were to spend 40 minutes on the treadmill for only 2.5-3 miles my heartrate monitor would tell me 380+ calories. Of course I am still over 100+ lbs…

My first mile Pace today was 10:42. Compaired to the 17:30 last week I would say substantial improvement. There is no way I could maintain that pace for an hour but I call it a win for now.

It sounds like you might not be getting enough calories early on. I just swapped from eating 3 times a day to eating about 6 times per day. 4 meals and 2 snacks. This has made it much eaiser to control my urges.
