Weight loss surgery (lap-band) thinking it would cure me from my unhealthy relationship with food! The band didn't "magically" do a single thing for me except make me miserable. I am still a proponent for weight loss surgery under certain circumstances, but with far more knowledge of the reality of life after! It is still…

Yes! Agreed!! My initial response was yes to addiction, but the more I consider my relationship with food, it's more of an obsession. I think it really depends on the person!

2tbs oat bran 2tbs Greek yogurt 3tbs liquid egg white 2packets truvia (truvia works best) Cinnamon(a few dashes) Nutmeg (one dash). Don't over do it! The secret is truvia and making sure that you cook the gallette long enough so that it wasn't mushy I also make one with ginger and cinnamon that is really good. Hope this…

I had the same issue and took the same self medication and hope it goes away approach. 4 months later I gave in and got 2cc removed. It's been 2 weeks and I have lost 8.5 lbs. sometimes lack of nutrients from overtightening can hinder a loss! I have been banded since March 2011. I lost 83 lbs in 8 months and then started…

I started a 9 month full time school program while working full time about 10 months ago. Needless to say, with 16+ hour work and school days, eating on the road, eating from a vending machine on a break, and a band overtightening problem, I gained 12 lbs! I'm back on to eating right and working out....1 week and 8.6 lbs…

Don't forget fat free dairy! I eat lots of Greek yogurt! And the galette is a wonderful "sweet" that I have in the evening. Mine tastes like an oatmeal cookie!

I have PCOS and am insulin resistant. My diet consists of LOTS of fish....and Greek yogurt!

I feel like the sugar grams are a suggestion. I don't eat any sugar other than what is in dairy, I don't eat starches or fruit, and I always go over my sugars. As long as you are getting plenty of non-sugar items (protein, green veggies) you should be fine! It's strange the way that they have it set up. I always go…

Lean protein (fish!), greek yogurt, and lots of water! It's how I keep myself from being hungry!

Fish!!! It is how I stay around 1000 cals per day....even with 4 days per week of exercising. This is at the suggestion of my doctor....I still have to get over 100g protein in so fish is the best way to get in protein, save some cals, and still feel satisfied! Feel free to friend me an look at my diary. Heather

Three weeks ago....256 lbs May 2010....327 lbs I still have more to lose, but I feel like my face looks thinner! I didn't want my images to be so large, but I don't know how to change them!

Ditto.....this is pretty much what Dukan is about....but eat some fish, it's good for you!

I just started on Thursday. It is a great jump start! Not unhealthy according to my doctor, dietician and a nutritionist that I ran it by. You have to do it correctly, but I am not hungry, not having sugar cravings like before, and have LOADS of energy. I like it! 7.9 lbs down since Thursday, but I am just in the first…

I started attack on Thursday, but didn't prepare properly for friday and ate off plan because of hunger! Got back on on friday evening and have been going strong since. Down 8 lbs since weighin on Thurs. I'm having a hard time eating more than 1000 cals per day and I definitely can't eat back my exercise cals....I'm just…

I can really tell a big difference! I have a "no posting pics without my approval" lock on my facebook for this very reason. I guess they don't see what I see!

What does a beauty therapist do? Sounds like an interesting career.

One day....one day....

I am an Applications Specialist for chemical injection pumps in the Petrochem industry....nobody ever wants to know more about what I do...most of them give me a blank stare when I explain. I'm a big nerd, so my friends make fun of me when my face lights up if I talk about Reverse Osmosis or I use words that they don't…

Just discovered the savory galette! Put taco seasoning instead of sweetener an added fat free cheese....really good!

If you search groups, there is quite a bit of info in the dukan group.

Started at 327...it's been a long road, but I do the absolute best when I am working out! Exercise is a must!

Just started attack phase....it is complex and takes a great deal of planning ahead. My bariatric doctor suggested it and I like it so far. It's really hard to eat enough calories because I'm just not hungry....at all! It was suggested because of my glucose intolerance. I'll let you know how it goes! Heather

This is really strange, but I want to dress like Sandra Bullock in "The Proposal".....I would like to look hot in a knee length pencil skirt! We can do it! I'm posting a pencil skirt pic as soon as I get to where I think it looks good!

This has been my problem too! I'm denying myself spa treatments, massages, small rewards, so that I can enjoy them when I get them! It's tough, but I want a body wrap and body scrub so bad and am willing to lose the lbs to get it!

I started a post on this in success stories, so if you already read this, sorry to tell you again! One of the best ideas that someone came up with is to go and buy canned food every few months that is equal to the total amount lost and donate it to a food bank. Not only will you be helping to feed the hungry, you will have…

I will probably steal this.....I like this idea!

Are you seeing an actual endocrinologist about the PCOS and possible thyroid issues? GP's sometimes don't catch on to things that an endo will. My GP said I was fine and my endo discovered a pituitary tumor. I'm not a doctor, this is a little FYI!

Take it from someone who had weight loss surgery....If you are truly eating 1200 cals per day, exercising, etc, weight loss surgery will not help you. You have to be completely honest with yourself. It's not a magic pill....it's rough. Still the best decision that I have ever made, but it requires calorie tracking,…

Lots of people rewarding themselves with tats.....hmmmmm. I have thought of a tatoo, when I reach goal, that reminds me of where I've been and how far I've come.
