How long did it take you to lose the weight you have lost? To me it looks like you are not eating enough calories. I have been doing this for 65 days and have gone up and down with the same 2 pounds. I have been told by my friends that it is because I am eating too few calories. Do you have any advice for me?

OK! I see the three of us are in the same age bracket!! I am told it may be harder for us to lose than many of those on MFP who are younger!

I have been having a poor me rant for a while. I have been here over 60 days and have been going up and down with the same 2 pounds. That's the extent of my loss!!I see you have lost 36 pounds, that's nothing to sneeze at!! I will look at your diary and you can look at mine, although everyone is different and has different…

The water intake you set at 39 one day. Was that 39 eight ounce glasses? Or was it 39 ounces? The numbers on there refer to the number of 8 oz servings.

I have been doing MFP for 52 days. I lost 1 pound and gained 2 pounds and am discouraged.. Apparently I was only eating about 900 calories a day so since doing this I have tried to attain 1200 calories. I am drinking more water than I ever had. I do not exercise so no one lecture me! I have given myself lectures. I am 53…

What can someone who doesn't like eggs or milk (for cereal and milk) have for breakfast? I gave up bagels and all I eat is peanut butter sandwiches on light wheat bread, or dry Special K cereal. I also ate peanut butter crackers all the time but they probably aren't the greatest choice either!

I've been here 26 days and have only lost 1 pound. I too am finding out after I started tracking food for a while that I am not eating enough food. Even though I am trying I still seem to have many days where I don't go over 1000 calories and it says I should be having 1200. I must say when I am closer to the 1200 calories…

Whew! Now I don't feel so bad. This is my third week also and it appears today I have lost a total of 1 pound. I do not work out at all. I got on a bicycle yesterday but couldn't ride much as I got out of breath and my legs ached. I have been doing a 1200 calorie intake although many days I was below that, so much of my…

Hi! I am new here and just came across these postings. Coincidentally your starting weight of 140 is the same as mine and the 128-130 is the same goal as mine. I am a lot shorter at 5' 1" and 53 years old. Can you tell me how long it has taken you to get where you are now? I know everyone is different. How did you lose…

What did you do to lose that weight in that time period?

How or where do you find the challanges? I have been here 21 days, so I'm still learning. Thanks!

Thank you for replying. Yes, I need to be concerned about the bone issue. I am on Fosamax as I have osteopenia. I am 53 and really haven't eaten the correct foods most of my life. My 83 yr old mother lives with us now and she always told me it would catch up with me. Shhhh, don't anyone tell her!!

I started to get discouraged yesterday. I found this site and have been keeping track since 3/22. They have me on 1200 calories as well. I do not work out. I plan to but trying to get in the habit of watching what I eat and drinking water.. I have not lost a pound yet but I have not gained. I assume I should lose once I…
