  • Hi! I'm a spicy food addict as well. My favorite spicy go-to recipes are : spicy soup (pumpkin soup, lots of veggies, grilled chicken breast and a few droplets of very hot sauce); thai curry (veggies with coconut milk and curry paste, grilled grilled chicken breast) or homemade chilli con carne (tomato sauce, spices,…
  • Beef jerky is a must for me. Otherwise, not too big on snacks.
  • Oh my.... yes! Unagi is my favorite! But I love salmon, tuna and shrimp. Sashimi or nigiri or maki rolls, doesn't matter... Ebi fried rolls are heavenly! I usually like a miso soup on the side. And lots of wasabi sauce. Ugh, I want sushi now.
  • True, weight loss is a result of eating at a caloric deficit. However, if you combine that with a frequent swimming routine, you should definitely see results much quicker. The same could be said for any exercise, really, but swimming is a great way to work the majority of your muscles. Just be careful... I usually feel…
  • I've been running for a couple of years now. I could never make it a social experience, running with friends or in groups just wouldn't work for me. It's the ultimate 'me-time'. I like prepping for a run : putting on my running clothes and shoes, preparing a custom 'Run of the day' playlist for my iPod and then off I go.…
  • Excellent! Like kaiwooglin said, don't expect to lose them all at the same steady rhythm. Most of us hit plateaus sooner or later. But you've done great so far, so just keep doing what you're doing.
  • Holy Moly! That's fantastic! It's always an amazing feeling to reach such a milestone, isn't it? Keep going!
  • Mmmhh, sushi wa totemo oishi, desu ne?

  • Hey! You'll get the hang of it. Counting cals is what really worked for me because it gives me a real sense of control over what fits my diet and what doesn't. Happy logging!
  • Personally, not the biggest fan of cheese. The only times I can tolerate it is when it's hot and melted, say in a cheese fondue or "raclette", another Swiss specialty. I don't even like it in burgers, so.... yeah. I'll just leave it to all you cheese lovers out there.

  • I'm hoping to find more time to ride my longboard and my bike. I also want to do a lot of trail running and some hiking when I get to the National Parks in the US during my vacation.
  • Mine is what I call "Thai soup". I use a box of Knorr pumpkin soup (200 cals for 500 ml), throw in a whole lot of veggies like broccoli, asparagus, onions, peppers, spinach and garlic, a spoonful of red or yellow curry paste, lots of spices. Then either some shrimp or chicken and, if I feel really starved, a small portion…
  • Eel california sushi rolls, with a side of tuna and salmon sashimi. Because.... it's freaking delicious!
  • Hey, what's up! Congrats on your success. Here's to many more to come.
  • Say hi to beautiful Alabama for me! I drove through your State last year and loved it. I'm from the french speaking part of Switzerland.
  • Hey! Welcome and best of luck on the way to your goal. Of course, luck has nothing to do with it. It's all about discipline and self-control, at least at first. Once you start building healthy habits, a healthy lifestyle becomes almost effortless. A good piece of advice is this : think about getting fit in the long term.…
  • Yesterday evening I took my longboard for a nice, long cruise along the shores of Lake Geneva. It was beautiful!
  • Love, love, love tea! Most of all, green tea (sencha, matcha, genmaicha) but also really like white tea or oolong. My favorite ever is a heavenly scented blend by Mariage Frères from Paris : Thé des Impressionistes. A green tea with white flowers and an indiscribable scent.
  • I totally know what you mean. Seeing your own progress is very rewarding and encourages you to keep going.
  • If a guy named Fred uses it, is it the Fredmill? For me it's the meh-mill because I use it when there's no alternative although I'm not thrilled about it. It came in quite handy this winter, because I just can't run outside when it's icy/too cold. But now that Spring is here, I'm happy to go back to my trails outside.
  • I choose a healthy lifestyle because : 1) I need to feel like I'm in control of my life; 2) I'm hoping I can inspire others to do the same; 3) It feels good!
  • Having my music for a workout is essential. It's what drives me. I feel all of you who chose to skip a workout when your tunes weren't there for you.
  • Excellent! Keep it up. It'll only get better.
  • Same here! Feel free to add me. I mostly try to eat things I cook myself whenever possible.
  • Hey, everyone. Same here! You can never have too many friends.
  • What's up, Lisa from UK? I'm Marcel from Switzerland. Nice to meet you, I'm happy to add you.
  • Hi! I'm going to start by saying that I'm by no means an expert on lifting. What I can say is that I started out just like you, exercising with dumbbells at home. I believe you can achieve a lot this way, or even working with your own bodyweight, to gain a good deal of strength without having to resort to a gym membership.…
  • Hi, Rach! Welcome to the site. I'll gladly be your friend. I had a pretty good year when it comes to fitness and I'm determined to make 2015 even better! Anyone, please feel free to add me! I'm a big music fan, love TV series and movies and love to read as well.
  • Ooh, I have a couple of such songs. When they come on, I go all out! "The New Transmission" - Lostprophets "Twisted Love" - ATB (Has an awesome build-up and an epic payoff when blasted out at full volume) "Banquet" - Bloc Party (great for running, perfect speed) "Catch Me If You Can" - Babymetal (brutal yet cheerful). ...…
