Hi there, there are some excellent programmes out there to help you. I used the couch to 5k iPhone app. It helps you go from walking to running for 30 mins over 9 weeks and it is excellent. You can download a free podcast on the NHS website if you search c25k and nhs. Or go to runnersworld and look at their plans. If that…

I like that challenge, I can do that in a few days. I'm glad it's not giving up alcohol too lol x

So does typing this post - best add another 500.

That is too funny

Good for you xx I always think the important thing is to not give up trying. If one thing doesn't work then try something else. Something will work in the end. It has to if you are motivated enough. Well done for starting again.

Well done Nikki x

Well done little lion, that's great. I'm aiming for another pound next week, slow and steady for me. Not sure about the coco pops, they are quite chocolatey.
-
Do we post our challenge weight loss here? I lost a pound this week :0) Oh and no chocolate for me either.

Well I did 2 miles on my treadmill this morning in 25 mins and it said I had burnt 180 calories. I was very hot and sweaty after, though I could have worked a bit harder. It does depend on your size too, as the heavier you are the more calories you will burn. Oh and well done on the 22 pounds.

Something to remember is that you were doing this activity (cleaning etc) when you got fat. I only include activity I have added on top of my normal life, such as running or circuits. The other stuff is just living.

I've know the scales to vary at one class, so one scale weighs lighter than another. And to think you pay for the privilage of being told you haven't lost weight because you were in the wrong queue.

I am sooooo hungry right now after exercising this morning, lol x I am thinking about eating one of my students, lightly roasted with a BBQ sauce. how many calories in a teenager?

I got up at stupid o'clock this morning to do som'e planning before going to work (I'm a teacher). I got it done quicker than I thought so jumped on my treadmill for 25 mins and got my day started with a bang.

Oh Nikki I hope your Dad is Ok. That's a lot to deal with, alongside a small baby too x

I think it would, and as you get fitter you would be able to walk quicker. You may also find that as you get fitter from walking the other exercises won't seem so hard. I'd love to have time to walk that far everyday x

I usually go to a zumba class twice a week, but couldn't go this week as it was my son's birthday, then parent;s evening so I missed out. I shall get on my treadmill tonight, as I have cleared out the conservatory and found it again! we are in the middle of building work, and life has been chaotic. Nothing like half a…

Woo hoo, weighed myself today, and I have lost a pound. I'm chuffed to bits about that. I am definitely going to exercise tonight and tomorrow and saturday morning now. I reckon that will help me secure that loss. I've got my lunch in the fridge here at work, all healthy and tasty, and tonight's dinner is already sorted. I…

Hi everyone, you all sound so focused and motivated :0) its very inspiring as I am really struggling to get going, I have a run of good days then get busy and find I am not being as careful as I should. I weighed myself today and I hadn't lost anything again. I haven't been able to do any exercise this week but am hopeful…

I don't eat chocolate either but had a busy weekend with lots of birthday parties. I am going to have to work hard this week. Good luck UK/Europe
