  • I am honest, 100%. Which is why I asked the question. I shall plod on, see what happens. I'm happy with the way I look, but the scales are not my friends sometimes. I've tried on a new dress I ordered in the sales, UK 14. It looked fab and is 2 sizes smaller than this time last year.
  • I used a self help book/CBT therapy to help me tackle my bad habits: Beck, the diet solution. My best friend joined me when I started losing and we support each other. Lots of people have bought the book on my recommendation, but I know that many of them have not even opened it yet. I don't say anything anymore as I feel…
  • This is how I feel about running. It's about me and no one else. I've not run for months because of a knee injury but it's time to get back out there and do what I love the most. Thanks OP for inspiring me again.
  • Thanks amyannie, that's what I thought. It looked hard enough.
  • It won't be easy, but it does start with low impact workouts and you should quickly build up your fitness. Work at your own level, and you could always repeat a week if you need to. Well done on quitting smoking, that's huge.
  • Well done, your results are great. You can see how much more toned you are, not just slimmer. I am on phase 1, with almost enough time to finish before a wedding in April. I think I am one week short. I was hoping to lose 7-10lb, and feel really inspired by your loss and your pictures. I am currently near your starting…
  • I'm on phase 1, feeling like " what's all the fuss about" so I decided to watch phase 2: workout 5. Omg, she is so tough, I can't imagine what phase 3 is like. I can't wait until I am that fit.
  • Nope, between kids, husband and a full time job I would be exhausted. But if you have the time and the fitness I don't see why not.
  • Is there a garage you could do it in? It may sound funny as garages are usually cold and dark, but you will get really hot anyway and then you can be as noisy as you like! I do Jillian's DVDs in my bedroom and find that I make a bit of noise but not too much. Perhaps you should talk to your parents as another poster…
  • I have similar problems with my knees. I do pilates and used the blocks to begin with. Now I have been going a year I am so much stronger and more flexible than when I started. Give yourself time and you will be amazed at the difference.
  • Woo hoo, day two of week two done. I actually got up at 6 am to do it, and feel brilliant that I don't have to do it when I get home tonight. I've noticed changes already. My clothes fit a little better and I feel more toned. Only 4 more days to go of this week then it cranks up a level!
  • Are you in the UK? I bought the first month (phase 1) on iTunes for £5.99. I am going to buy the whole kit in a couple of weeks when I get paid. Obviously you don't get the diet and the resistance band but I know how to eat and I picked up a cheap band on amazon. I have done my first week, didn't find it too tough, and I…
  • If you really want to lose weight then you will change the way you think. Otherwise you will continue to yo yo back and forth with it. Try the' Beck: the diet solution' book. It is cognitive behavioural therapy, and involves changing your mindset little by little. I have tackled loads of bad habits that I know have stopped…
  • It took 6 months for mine to improve. A week is not very long if you have stressed the tendons or ligaments.
  • I have lots of knee problems and find that ibruprofen gel really helps, as does rest. Basically you need to rest it until the pain goes and then very slowly build up exercise again. It might be worth a trip to the Dr to get it checked out.
  • If it doesn't work, go on the NHS website and you can download it as a podcast.

  • What are you thinking of doing? I'd like to have an idea before I commit myself lol x
  • Yes it is. Have a look on the Apple App store (if you have an iphone) and I used the Bluefin version. It is very good and only 69p. I can't help you with the android version I'm afraid.

  • I loved it from day one, when I was red faced and puffing from running for 30 seconds. I hate, absolutely loath classes like Zumba. I don't know why anyone would want to do a class like that, and I have tried many a time. All that fussing about and learning steps etc, nope not for me. I think if you love running, you love…
  • I love running, it's my favourite exercise but like a previous poster I have injury problems. ironically I have not hurt myself running, but doing kettlebell exercises; all those squats with weights mean that I now have patella tendernitis. I am doing lots of different exercises to strengthen my legs in general and my…
  • Yep, that's why I run. Gotta keep up that cardio!
  • Before losing this weight I spent a year not trying to lose weight but learning how to eat normally and not put weight on. It made all the difference. I didn't weigh myself much and stopped stressing so much about it all. I wasn't happy with my size, but I still had lots of fun and enjoyed life. It showed me that my…
  • I have been working through 'Beck: diet solution' which helps you to tackle poor eating habits and gives you the tools to eat normally. I particularly like the following: 1. No eating standing up. Think about that for a minute. how many times to you eat a bit of this, a bit of that whilst standing in the kitchen? How often…
  • How much did you pay for it? I'm gutted I missed it on offer. I got the first 5 workouts for £5.99 on itunes. I'm debating whether I will get the full pack when I have finished the first month.
  • Me! I started on sunday, I've done 3 days so far (two of BR and one Pilates session). I really like it
  • Well, that works for me, though I will be breaking it down into 5lb losses. It's easier to think in terms of 5lb, rather than 25. After all, 25lb is ONLY 5 lots of 5 lb! I'm off to south africa at easter, anything I lose between now and then is a bonus. OK, my pledge is to stick to 1350 calories a day, exercise 3 times a…
  • Hello everyone. I'm back after a great summer of parties, holidays and wine (so much wine!) so I've set myself a big target this month, with 10lb but I am cutting out that wine and getting back outside and running. Does anyone else run?
  • SW = 189 GW = 1179 So this month I would like to lose 10lb, if I can. But that is a lot for me. Best get out and do some running before breakfast.
  • Morning, I'm back today too. I've managed to keep some off but I need to get on and lose before I put it all on. Please feel free to add me as a friend. I have 3 stone to use too.
  • I'm coming back to myfitnesspal and to running so I shall start with 40 miles to begin with.
