I'm basing it off of the pictures floating around of what 5 lbs of fat actually look like. If I were to guess from that alone I would concluded I only lost about one pound of fat which would mean 5 lbs of muscle mass.

I think I will have to find an affordable gym membership and increase calories a bit then. Thank you for your thorough answer!

I have read it and I think you may have missed my question. I already follow all of the guidelines given. I'm just having trouble with losing more muscle mass than I would like instead of body fat.

I don't really do any cardio. My running shoes fell apart and I need to get some new ones but I've been stalling. I only ran every few weeks anyway since I don't particularly enjoy it. I am not lifting heavy for a couple reasons; 1) I don't have a gym membership and only have the few light weights laying around at home. I…

Actually I lost like 3 lbs of water weight the first week I started and gained it back the following couple weeks. I've been counting calories for 2 months now and the 6 lbs have been a steady loss. I've also lost inches in my thighs so I know it's not just water weight. My main concern is losing muscle mass which I'm…

If you don't mind it then I don't see why not. Some people can't have the same meal even a day after. I'm not the same- I can eat leftovers for days. I also cook up a bulk of chicken or turkey balls so I reheat them throughout the week. So same seasoned/flavored chicken practically everyday, but I do tend to switch up the…

Popcorn is a very low calorie snack that I love indulging in. If it's not heavily buttered I can easily have a couple cups of it for only around 50-60 calories.

Yeah you could eat literally only junk food but as long as you eat within your calorie limit you'll still lose weight. Obviously you don't want to do this. But when it comes to solely weight loss, calorie intake is key. I'm surprised so many don't know this- should be taught in school.

They're often inaccurate and it's just not gonna work. If you weigh your chicken, you'll know how many calories you're eating ^^ I actually did get a scale today! And when I weighed a few of my cooked chicken piece earlier today they averaged around 2 oz. I'm not sure how much weight they lose after they've been cooked so…

I eat one almost every other day if not every day. I think they get a bad rap because they are high in calories. But I usually get the small ones so 90 calories for a small snack isn't really bad imo.

I like to throw raw kale in salads. You can also bake them in the oven with a little olive oil and salt to make chips. Or chop them up and throw them in in your omelet. Today I chopped them up and added them into my turkey meatballs along with a few other veggies. So many ways!

But I'm reading that even cooking without oil or butter will still increase the caloric value of vegetables.
