Be careful. If you order "Stilleswasser" you should get bottled. If you order Leitungswasser, it is water from the sink. Normally. I have heard that some places with bring you sink water and charge you for bottled.
-
Leitungswasser? Auwehzwick! I only drink carbonated bottled water. Water from the sink tastes horrible here.
-
Not bad. I was 46 at that time. Edit: Kelly is about 23?

26?

Another person with reading comprehension issues. Where did I suggest that a woman should have the same BF as I do? Where? I didn't. Seems you missed that. The OP mentioned in her original statement, that she found her BF at 15 and 24. The information I provided is accurate and is only information on WHO among women have…

I SAID: 8-15 for athletes. Read what I wrote before you infer a wrong remark. Female athletes get thier BF down that low, Yes.

1. Calipers: I doubt she has a BMI of 35 or more. http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/obesity-prevention-source/obesity-definition/how-to-measure-body-fatness/ 2. Fat and Calipers: 8-15% for athletes, as I said is the norm. Like it or not. And Calipers are accurate. http://www.unm.edu/~lkravitz/Article%20folder/underbodycomp.html…

Because the vast majority of people are clueless on form and technique when Dead-lifting. From that, they get injuries and blame the gym owners for not assisting. There are also medical professionals who are completely against DLs and claim no one should be doing them. Utter ****e! I miss the old days when gyms hired…

Stuck, how exactly? At 5'4" and 112 pounds, your BF is more towards 15 then 24%. The best methods for BF determining are calipers or a physician. Actually the water method tends to be the most accurate, but can be costly depending on by whom it is performed. Scales that give BF readings are notorious for being inaccurate.…

He's 290lbs and probably 40%BF, depending on his height. Deadlift, power-cleans and squats, he's nowhere near ready for. His primary goal is fat loss.
-
Yes, congrats on the beginning of your weight loss. Good start. Also, good choice on soda and junk food. Hard, but well done. At 290lbs, continue cardio. Right now, fat lose is your objective. At 26 years-old, muscle loss is not happening as you might think or have read. Ensure you are consuming plenty of protein in your…

I just spewed cottage cheese and strawberries all over my computer screen!!!! Too funny!

Read this and determine it for yourself. http://www.leanbodiesconsulting.com/articles/the-protein-interview-an-interview-with-dr-stuart-phillips/

what should one's plate look like? Mine are square and white, but everyone's different! :) Seriously, it will be depending on your calories, macros, goals and how many times a day you wish to eat. There are many schools of thought about how many gramms of protein one should eat per meal. That too is dependent. Are you…

You still simply don't understand. And I am wasting no more effort on this, except for this last bit of info. In order to easily determine your TDEE, knowing your BMR is helpful. For the last time, the MFP member in question has a BMR of 1792. He is active, he exercises and he works. Conservatively, let's add 600 calories…
-
^^^This! I do and have been doing this for years.
-
Clearly you have reading comprehension issues. You do not understand BMR. And I doubt you read the quotes I provided. Please read this: In this person's situation, 1792 (again, it's not exact and can be off up or down), is the minimal amount of daily calories he needs for proper body functioning. What that means is heart…
-
You should do a bit more reading. You are way off. Not just on what I wrote but on your response. I never wrote that BMR is the baseline and under that one's body goes into preservation mode. I have 30 years of fitness and diet experience so I have a wee bit of knowledge about this. Go back and read what I wrote. Obviously…

I live in Germany and have no idea what this means. Could someone please explain this? Creeped a photo?
-
Musician or cop.

Perhaps it's me as English is not my first language. But you seem to have me confused or you are contradicting yourself. I'm thinking you are in favour of daily calories above 1200. Hard to tell. Regardless. Not necessarily correct about those eating at 1200 and losing. They are losing, but at first it's mostly water…
-
So if your BMR is 1792, why would you want to eat under that? Your BMR is your bottom line. That is the amount of calories your particular body needs to function at an absolute least. Although it is not a perfect number. Could be off by +/- 50. A great example of this that I enjoy quoting is think of that amount of…

Rhine, I've been lifting for nearly 30 years and I have seen it all. Yes, it is annoying to no end, but it is part of the sad life in the gym. I am sure this guy made your blood boil, but try not to let it. Just do your thing, re-rack the weights, smile, enjoy your session and go home. If you see something dangerous...…

No, is true. Again "most" whey powders (isolates, hydrolyzed, and concentrates) are processed by ion-exchange, which removes the lactose, fats and carbs. There is also a filtering process which ensures 90-100% of the non-whey isolates are removed. The lactose comes from the sugar in milk and these processes remove the…

Yes and no. Soy contains isoflavones which are plant estrogen. It may, could, possibly, might mimic the the body's hormone production of estrogen, but if so, at a very slight level depending upon the amount of soy intake. For women it's not really an issue, but again could be beneficial if low estrogen levels were…

Most Whey Protein powders are lactose free.

People have always thought I'm older than I actually am. This has happened as long as I can remember. It has been extremely rare that anyone had guessed my age spot-on. Not nice, that!

Pizza, burgers, fries, chinese take-a-ways are not healthy! Loaded with saturated fats. I have seen first hand what this type of foods does to your body. Have you ever attended an autopsy? Probably not. When you see all the bright yellow fat riddled around your organs from eating utter crap, you never want to eat that way…

but please don't eat a chicken breast, whole grain pasta, broccoli and some flax seed oil. That stuff is just terrible tasting and bad for you.
-
it`s very possible. When I was your age I was probably around 25% - 30% BF. For the past 25 years, I have maintained 10% - 13%. It is not that hard to do. Just takes time, with a new mind set and life style.
