I suggest you go back to the goals section on your profile, and update it - I am about 170lbs, and a little taller than you, and I find that my calorie intake needs to be around 1350 in order to lose weight about 0.5 lb per week - I have a sedentary job, so I put in sedentary and then I log all specific activities - e.g.…

I think we prioritise what we deem to be important, so it is important to read things like 'Made to Crave' intentionally, so set aside time each day/week for that book only. As I always have multiple books on the go, it is usually that I need to allocate time to the ones which are important, and use the others as 'fill-in'…

I really like my sweets, and carbs. I have found that not denying myself a treat helps, but also focussing on higher proportions of protein and vegetables makes me feel more full, so I don't crave the carbs/sweets as much.

5'3" (1.6m), just about 38 yo (birthday this week). SW 73kg CW 62kg GW 59kg Currently aim for 1340cals (net). Actual intake varies a bit, and loss tends to be stalled completely for weeks at a time, then I'll drop a kilo in one go. As I'm so close to GW, and am within the healthy BMI range, I'm rethinking what my goals…

I wish we could 'like' replies on the fora. Totally agree with kennalgar123. However, I think it probably extends to all immigration, because the reason people want to come here (to the UK) is to work, and support their families, not because they want a free ride (there are some exceptions, but why should the exceptions…

I have experimented with eating back/not eating back...on the whole, I maintain if I eat back, so try to only eat back half of my exercise calories...however, it depends from day to day and week to week...

East of England - my gym at work (no pool) is £25.54 per month, includes all classes. My husband pays about £30 at the local leisure centre, which includes the pool. Otherwise, about £5 pay per use here for classes or gym...

I had the Mirena coil for 5 years and struggled to lose any weight at all, even with ridiculous deficits on calorie counts and mad exercising (I lost 1lb total, despite being on a very restrictive diet for about 3 months). However, during that time, I moved to a more moderate view of food, and although I did not start…

Thank you so much. I think Christine (Luke's widow) and his mum are just still in shock. I will be writing to them both over the weekend, and will use some of those texts which have comforted me to hope they bring hope and peace to them too. I don't know how their relationships with God stand, so am praying that they know…

I buy mine from Bravissimo (UK stores, but worldwide online). However, they are not cheap! Good support costs, at least here...

As you know you can't change him, but you can change you, stick with YOUR plan! Don't let his emotional blackmail about how you won't love him if he doesn't change mess up your plan. You are strong! Be selfish and take care of yourself first. Clearly that is attractive, and why he came back in the first place. Maybe he…

Hi Kaela! I am thankful that I have assurance of my salvation. God's grace and mercy are great to hold on to when everything else seems to be falling apart. I am also grateful for my husband and children, my wider family and the family of Christians, worldwide, in the flesh and via web forums like this God bless Jo

Thanks for starting the thread OP. I received this last night. I responded to my friend that I could not see how it raised awareness of anything other than of the viral nature of nonsense. I am glad that trusty MFP already concurred with my response.

October 20. We have a trip to the USA planned, and if I'm not close to goal, the portion sizes and availability of food will be overwhelming, and probably throw me off again for months!

I'm in for the 100 push ups over the week...!

I'm 5'3", and currently at 140lbs (BMI is just under 25). I'm actually okay as I am, and happy with my current shape, althoug I'd love to have a BMI of 22-23, which takes me down another 10lbs to 130, just to rid myself of a little more of the belly! A healthy BMI is considered to be between 18 and 25, so at 155, your BMI…

Re advice... You may want to review how you feel about the promotion, as your bosses clearly think you are the best person for the job. I'd be honest about plans for leaving when children come along, but consider taking the role as distraction is great for relaxing you ready to conceive, and may assist in building more of…

Will pray. Heavenly Father, pleas give Kaela wisdom to know your views on this promotion, and be able to convey your heart about it in a gracious way. Amen

Hi Janette, I pray the Lord would help you to know the reality of His presence, and that you will be able to testify that He has helped you. Rather perplexingly (to me, anyway), the Lord doesn't always heal or help us in the ways we think, but allows us to experience the things others in the world do. Sometimes, I think…

Totally agree with Kaela. Hiowever, you also need to stop and look at your relationship with God. He promises to be with us in everything, but sometimes it is us that walk away. Check on your relationship status and get close to God, who is our provider, comforter, strength, lover, rock... Will pray for you. Jo

And will keep on praying...

7kg, after I'd been losing slowly for about 9 months. Still have people say 'You've lost weight', but have only lost a total of 9 kg in about 18 months. Totally agree with other posters about clothes sizes, as it is only as I'm buying smaller clothes that people seem to be more comfortable with commenting!

Oh Kaela, don't give up hope! Your story of how despite this tough time, God is still faithful may be part of what God has for your future. In our family, we have a couple who tried to conceive for 7 years, and eventually adopted, first one, and then a second child. 5 years later, this couple were blessed with a third…

Still working on that 'More' for God. My husband and I have left the congregation. It was a really tough decision, but my husband's employment with the church also came to an end at the end of February. If we had stayed, it would've been difficult as if he had disagreed with any decisions then it would have appeared as…

Use tinned produce as weights to start with! A can of beans/rice pudding can help get you started with small weights, and sacks of potoatoes as you work up!

Not Catholic either, and currently looking for a new church... However, my husband and I have agreed to do a 40 bags in 40 days decluttering challenge. Hopefully it will kick our terrible hoarding habits out!

Feel free to add me too. I'm nearing my goal weight, but am losing to avoid developing diabetes. Like you, I'm 37, and I'll pray for you on your journey. Jo
