  • I am a myfitnesspal advocate....I tell every person I can about this great site. Pay it forward baby!!!!! If just one person can "GAIN" what I have from this site- (a new outlook on food, exercise, and everything in between) the worlds a better place! Good for you!
  • http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php Watch out though because I put a recipe in there and it was totally calculating the kidney beans wrong. I sent an email to them but never heard back... it could have been a "user error" but I couldn't figure it out. I did put in a banana bread recipe in there and it…
  • Love it!
  • Hey- I am a newbie runner! But have been doing MPF for a while- (signed up in April but didn't start logging until Aug) I did my first 10K on veteran's day and I have my first 1/2 marathon the end of May! I am so excited to do it! It feels good. I spend about 1 1/2 hours in the gym five days a week because I really do love…
  • Dice up some fresh tomato too that helps it more moist.... that way you won't have to use as much mayo.
  • Way to go! You're taking good care of you and your baby!!!
  • Besides fresh fruit & veggies I like canned soup for lunch- broth based..a little higher in sodium (so if you have an issue with BP it may not be a good choice for you). I also like Paul Newmans lighten up dressing basalmic vinarette for my salads. Another staple for me is LUNA bars. For my "treat" I like edy's 1/2 the fat…

  • You can do this! Just keep making the right choices and you will see results. It's hard to change old habbits! But after a while it will get easier and you will see results. I agree with May_marie NEVER weigh at the end of the day! You'll always weigh heavier. Give yourself a week before weighing in again and then do it in…
  • I weigh in everyday but log in my weight on Mondays.
  • LOVE IT! YOU GO WITH YOUR AWESOME SELF!
  • That is AMAZING! You truely inspire all me! Congrats!
  • Welcome! :drinker:
  • Opss I forgot it hit the quote- this is to you Lauryn1981 Wed 01/07/09 01:16 PMI am like you. I eat a smaller amount at breakfast and lunch so I have the extra cals at dinner. I find if I use too many through out the day I end up feeling deprived at night and I end up eating over my 1200 cals.... As long as we are eating…
  • I am like you. I eat a smaller amount at breakfast and lunch so I have the extra cals at dinner. I find if I use too many through out the day I end up feeling deprived at night and I end up eating over my 1200 cals.... As long as we are eating the right amount does it really matter if we eat a higher cal dinner and lower…
  • Welcome and good luck!!!!
  • It's funny, in the beginning I really just cut down my portions and ate the same foods to stay within cals. But after a while I didn't want the junk as much and started craving healthier food choices- and it meant I was able to eat more. But yes, you can eat what you like and still loose weight. That's the great thing…
  • WOW! That must feel amazing!
  • I have the same problem on the days I don't get a workout in... try and eat more protien it seems to keep the hunger at bay... usually I go ahead and eat the extra 200 cals if I am still hungry.
  • Thank you for this....
  • More protien it is!!!! I will let you guys kow how it goes!
  • I wish.... I did eat a bit over over the holiday and I didn't loose but I stayed pretty much the same :drinker: which I was totally happy about.... I think I'll have to really push myself to eat more protien and truely ask myself are you hungry or do you just want to eat????? B/C I am one of those people who will workout…
  • Thank you! It does help! I love my kashi go lean and yogurt for breakfast but it's a it high at 275..... then I usually do a luna bar for snack for 190 and then I am down to 735 and I haven't eaten lunch, 2nd snack or dinner. Ekkk. I think it's partly a mind thing. I always get my protien in but I love my carbs ( i.e.…
  • Go you!!!! Good job! Wow! You look like a new woman! You must feel fantastic and so proud of yourself!
  • I really have a hard time staying at the 1200 cal mark on the days I don't get my exercise in. It's like I need those extra cals to feel full- or I guess I should say when I only get 1200 cals I feel like I am starving......Usually that's only 1-2 days out of the week ( I usually don't make it to the gym on weekends) and I…
  • Welcome! You'll do great!
  • YUUUMMMM! I am making this this week. Thanks!
  • Wow great info!!!!!! I have just started doing weight lifting but never knew just how heavy was too heavy how many sets etc... Thank You!!!!!!
  • Sounds like your good for tonight. Sounds yummy! Stay warm and have a great evening.
  • Good job girlie! You know what I think? Eating the piece of candy was a good thing ( don't forget to log the cals though): . It keeps you from feeling deprived and wanting to binge. You go. One day at a time. You can get through today!!!! Do you have a plan for dinner?
  • OK- So now that you are on MPF and are logging in all your cals and exercise you'll be able to get a real firm idea on how much your eating per day. Maybe your consuming more than you think. Make to drink all your water and continue to exercise. Also, I don't know much about pilates but maybe you could add some cardio to…
