  • I have the Jawbone up and I loved it... Now I hate it!! It keeps short changing me on my workouts. Hiked 4.8 miles today plugged in to the app to log and it said 4.8 miles. Changed it from generic activity to hike and it changed my mileage to 3.5 ....... It's STILL 4.8 wether I hiked or jogged or ran or crawled......…
  • I don't know much about Keto so I'm not doing it but I am doing Atkins induction and plan to for a while. I keep my carbs 25 or lower a day. Would love more friends doing similar. I had the same circumstances as OP... Did Atkins... Lost 89 pounds in 5 months and then had major financial problems and also lived on ramen…
  • I completely agree... Pre low carb I would eat either cereal or a breakfast sandwich or oatmeal for breakfast and about two hours later I was STARVING and now I eat either avocado or bacon and eggs or Ham and pickle rolls (most mornings I am nauseas and that's the only thing I can stomach) and I often never get hungry at…
  • You can cut out meat and it's perfectly socially acceptable but you cut out bread and sugar and all hell breaks lose.. I'm not a vegetarian but I would never try to force my low carb diet on one ..... I believe to each their own .... If you find something that works for you then great, do it... Doesn't mean it will work…
  • I am doing low carb and I never tried to discourage him or tell him what to do.... If he thinks low carb is coke and ice cream sandwiches more power to him....
  • You are welcome :) I did it a few years ago (before I knew I had to for medical reasons) and I had great success. I lost 89 pounds from the 4th of July through the beginning of December and I learned to make all kinds of cool intricate recipes that kept me from being bored and honestly the first week I felt sluggish but…
  • I do low carb for medical reasons and I try to get 25 or less a day but total carbs, not net carbs. I just make sure that 99% of the carbs I DO eat come from veggies.
  • But as far as a typical day... IF I'm not feeling sick to my stomach when I wake up I will have 3 eggs and 2 slices bacon or an omelet with a little ham and bell pepper with cheese and salsa Lunch is usually tuna salad in half an avacado. Snack is usually egg salad Dinner is usually about 5-6 oz of either chicken or beef…
  • Like we've said.. No it's not typical.... And I've tried to tell him BUT at this point I think he's got me blocked because he hasn't acknowledged one word I have said... Today wasn't typical for me but I had Ham and pickle rolls with mayo for breakfast (wake up nauseas every day and that is about the only thing I can…
  • Then eat bell peppers green beans and lettuce
  • I have a girl on my Facebook that is a beach body coach and I love her to death but she's been posting about how she eats out of these red green blue yellow and purple containers and it makes you lose weight and I'm like.. Say what? I wasn't aware that colored containers made you lose... I know they are different sizes...…
  • Yum! I've made both of those variations before! So good. I especially love the cream cheese one warm... Heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds and it's fantastic! I need to get some more coconut oil, I've been using it on my face and body and I think I need a different one for food purposes :)
  • Congratulations! That is so awesome!! Way to go! I'm working on getting there myself.

  • I post on Facebook because people ask me to.... People ask me for advice and ask about my progress and request pictures and want to know what I am eating... But I put a full disclaimer that if you don't wanna know then delete me now because if I can inspire one person to better their life than it is completely worth the…
  • I agree, I never saw where you were bashing the OPs choice to go low carb, just what he is calling low carb and how he is doing things. He is not doing it right and over dosing on vitamins because he doesn't want to eat veggies is not a good thing at all. I am VERY pro low carb and I have tried to be very encouraging and…
  • Mine is private too :) so I don't blame you.
  • This isn't the first or second or third time... And I didn't ask for advice.... I'm losing just fine ... So yes it aggravates me... But thank GOD for the block button.
  • You constantly keep telling me I'm not weighing my food... But if I am doing it so much to the point my husband actually gets MAD that I am obsessing about weighing my food then obviously I'm weighing my food...
  • That's what I do on paper because it won't fit in the title :) I just weigh the entire recipe and then portion it out into equal portions based on weight... So it says 1 serving but it's a carefully weighed serving...
  • And I've never seen any where that let's you enter a recipe by weight.... Would be great if I did but I don't so if I make something I enter my recipe and it says serves 6 I measure until all 6 servings are all equal weight and then give the rest to my husband... But I just entered a new recipe a bit ago and it never have…
  • I just had a HUGE HUGE HUGE fight with my husband the other day because he says I am being too obsessive because I won't eat ANY thing that doesn't go on the scale first... But yes, I must be wrong......
  • I agree... That is her perception of what is hot... I can appreciate a woman's body and I am drawn more to curvy but toned women (and that's what I hope to get to) but I'm never going to tell anyone else to alter their perception of beauty...... Plus.... Jessica Alba is pretty curvy.. Small but curvy... So I don't know…
  • Also if you are concerned about your ankle I would suggest adding either some dumbbells or a kettle bell and do some lifting and also squats with them.... I got dumbbells and it's made a world of difference in me. I do squats and curls and over head presses and some other different moves that I don't know the technical…
  • 22 pounds since January is FANTASTIC!! way to go! That honestly truly is great! It's all those tv shows that claim people are losing 10-12 pounds a week (when it's actually in real life closer to 3weeks) that make people just shrug off their accomplishments. You are doing wonderful! Keep up the good work. Just make sure…
  • If you are actually considering carb cycling I would follow and actual program and I'd look into Chris Powell's book Choose more to Lose more for life..... It's vegetable based and not some crazy made up "low carb" plan. It focuses on nutrients and doing low carb and then moderate carb but adding in good carbs.
  • Oh I HATE that one..... I get told that all the time..... I'm like I have a scale AND made my husband buy my FOUR sets of meshing cups... And I weigh all solids and measure all liquids and I agree.... If a package says how much if something I cups and grams and it shows on MFP in cups I STILL weigh it and them convert…
  • I eat low carb and no that's not what I eat... That's where people get into problems... Eating all meat and nothing else. I've never seen an actual low carb plan like this... All of your carbs are supposed to come from veggies... Not sugar cured meats and soda... Otherwise you have no nutrition and you have no fiber....…
  • I haven't tried the time but that did just remind me I used to buy the Red Diamond with Splenda. It's very good too.. And I hate Splenda too... Lol I hate most artificial sweeteners.

  • Lipton makes tea bags with stevia leaves in then called southern sweet tea and it tastes JUST like it and normally I have stevia but this stuff is amazing. I really can't tell a difference between to and regular sweet tea. It can be hard to find though.. We've only been able to find it at Sams Club
