My IPad app shows weekly total and what is remaining but the math still isn't tough!

This has worked GREAT for me! I started out at 8400 calories per WEEK!!! No two days were a like in calorie consumption. My week was Friday -Thursday ! Weigh in's were Friday! I recently (a couple weeks back) upped my calories a lot but follow the same plan! I now average about 1600 per day but it is WEEKLY! No more…

I eat when I want and works into my schedule! Some days it is first thing, other days I am consuming all my calories sitting on the sofa watching TV as I wind down for bed! All I worry about is my calories and hitting my WEEKLY (not daily) average!
-
I totally agree with this! I stopped seeing food as good or bad! I have lost my weight counting calories but I go by a weekly average NOT daily. I know me and I know binging in the past has been a problem. In part because when I would eat one thing I saw as bad I would go crazy and say 'tomorrow will be better, this is my…

Agree, I hope my point was made clear that while I did it for a week I still got protein. All my meals include meat(consume between 103-145 grams per day)but many vegetarians out there have figured out how to get protein in other ways! I didn't realize she wanted to do fruits / veges alone forever. When I hear people use…

For a week I didn't hit my macros! And shockingly my body didn't shut down and crumble onto the floor! Thanks for your concern!
-
Figure out YOUR body and how it functions the best! I LOVE meat and so does my body! I couldn't and wouldn't want to eat the way you are suggesting long term. I LOVE bread but avoided it because my body doesn't. We do need protein and fat in our diets which is tough to get when eating the way you suggest. Search for a…

Probably not! The site 'experts' want to set you straight and get you on the same path as them!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love and eat tons protein on a daily basis! Love a big steak for breakfast. I had a specialist in digestive issues ( MD doctor) put me on something similar to what she suggest (no dairy) and lots of supplements, including a source of protein and I felt wonderful after doing it a week. I was then able…

I hate the word "cleanse" but I get what you're saying! A couple weeks of less calories and just veges (with vitamin supplements ) can do a body good! I've done it with veges before (NOT fruit) . I see no harm in trying to get your body into a healthy state, just re-adjust with appropriate calories and hit you fat and…

You look fabulous !!! Hang in there! Days I can't exercise I remind myself that I got heavy because I over ate! Wow did I over eat. Lack of exercise isn't why I got heavy, eating too much was! So try NOT to sweat the lack of exercise, you'll get back to it! You do look GREAT! I'm impressed!

This is crazy and so NOT true, far from a 'medical fact'!
-
This is how I feel too! No binges with one LARGE meal and I feel satisfied! Lots of little small meals make me hungry and obsessing about food!
-
I would love to be added! I have been very successful in losing weight fast by cutting my calories however I still feel rotten as my carbs have been so high! I keep my diary closed but am going to start playing with my numbers! I want to keep carbs under 25 grams at least initially !
-
Looking forward to hearing the responses too! That is where I'm headed, already doing the fast 5:2 but looking to drastically lower my carbs. They have been causing major issues for me!
-
For the past 12 weeks I have had great success by counting my calories by THE WEEK, not the day! I get 8400 per week! It has eliminated all negative feelings regarding food and feeling as if I failed because I went 'over my calories"! It may not work for everyone but has been a life saver for me. Good luck!
-
You already had 1700! You don't NEED to have more food today! I too like large quantities so I avoid high calorie foods that don't give me the satisfaction emotionally! I can make a massive sand which with ham, cheeses, and veges and feel like I ate a lot or i can eat a handful of nuts! I go for the big sand which!

^^^^^ very we'll said! I finally got honest with counting and the weight has fallen off!
-
Excellent advice! I really like too how you said don't eat something you don't like because it is low cal! I wasted so many calories on food I didn't even like because I thought I should eat it!!!
-
As someone who use to drink many more then 8 per week I listened to the story with great interest! The emphasis was on the fact that 8 drinks didn't make you an alcoholic or problem drinker but it was the cause of so many problems! People can label themselves how ever they chose but really just like the food we eat our…

<<<<<<<< in progress! This shows my first 25 pound loss! My goal is approximately 35-40 more!
-
Thanks all! This time losing IS fun! The little stuff IS adding up! Weighed in today and it is exactly two months and I'm also down just over 33 pounds!
-
Good answer! I've been losing weight really fast eating 8400 calories per week (1200 per day) but need to start lifting heavy to avoid losing muscle over fat! Thank God I love lifting!
-
I don't like the term 'cheat days'! I count my calories by the week, from Friday-Thursday. By having a weekly allowance of calories no two days are the same. I feel no guilt or cravings as I can have what ever I want as long as I don't exceed my calories for the week! My weight is falling off super fast this way! Tomorrow…

Lots of great advice on here! What finally triggered me to lose weight (I had 75 pounds to take off) was seeing my sister who was heavier then me. When I saw her she had recently lost 20 of her 100 pounds and looked GREAT! it was so noticeable! I realized for the first time that we can feel good and look better as we are…

I find it hard to believe that if you're actually tracking and recording EVERYTHING you wouldn't be losing! I am eating 8400 per week (1200) and started at 196.6' the weight falls off! The calorie amount you said should show a regular loss too, even with out exercise! You need to weigh and measure and not guess or skip on…

Tomorrow is a new day! Start fresh and don't obsess about your recent bad choices! Also resist (you know this) using food for medication when your upset (about your coworker) and to celebrate when you are doing well. You got this, just start fresh tomorrow!

Being physically active IS important but most of us gain weight from over eating!!! I would rather see someone spend the needed time adjusting their diet then worry about an hour of exercise per day,
-
For me I love the walks I take with my husband and I also enjoy how my muscles feel after using weights! Don't sweat it, any movement is OK! Most of us became fat by over eating, not under exercising!
-
Great job!!! You should be proud of yourself!!
