  • Wow I wasn't even aware of that! I bought raw so I THINK it means it is okay?My scooby was $1.50 and came to me in the mail packaged in what must have cost 3x the price of the product. Haha! Looked perfect. I'm learning it isn't very expensive or tough to be healthy, just takes a bit more time occasionally! Can't wait to…
  • My first batch is sitting in a gallon jar now. Love the stuff but not the $3 per bottle price tag! I will let you know how I like it. I did buy all my supplies through Amazon. And used some simple directions I found online.
  • I lived the book 'have your cake and skinny jeans too'. I don't plan on binges and eat the food I want. I have placed only a couple rules to myself. 1) eat at the kitchen table 2) remember to stop eating when it stops tasting good. I don't need to binge because later if I want I can have the same food again.
  • I read the book 'have your cake and skinny jeans too' it was very helpful. Counting calories led to binging for me. This book makes sense and I'm hoping long term it will continue to help
  • Many of us BED are in the health field to teach others. Not sure what to say but for me reading a book (my favorite: have your cake and skinny pants too ) I have had binges that have lasted a year at a time.
  • I'm not sure what to say that can help you but I feel your pain. For me getting of the binging cycle is somewhat easier when I concentrate on health over a number on the scale.
  • I just finished reading the book this weekend "have your cake and skinny pants too". I may have to keep reading it over and over but it was so helpful. Many great, helpful things in it but what I took away from it after the first read was to give myself permission to eat what I want but make sure you are really enjoying it.
  • I'm new at this but I have decided to stop counting calories and 'allowing' binge or high calorie days. By allowing I mean I don't say ahead of time 'I won't eat much today so I can pork out on Saturday'. I am trying to ask myself prior to eating if what I want yo eat is going to help me reach my health goals. Yesterday we…
  • I'm new too, and welcome friends!
  • Would it help to put the scale in an out if the way place? I keep mine in the storage room, not seeing it keeps me off it. Or maybe have a friend or family member hide it? Not weighing in helps me concentrate on getting healthy and lean as opposed to looking at the number. I wish this was easy!
  • I'm thinking for me I may need to stop weighing myself, or at least not so often. I have a similar reaction to you. I want to put the emphasis on my health and energy and take it off me weight, I'm hoping that helps with the binging. I want more than anything else to eat like a healthy, normal person and not view food and…
  • I'm new and I'm in! Sarah -1 Binge-0
  • I would love people to friend me! I have struggled with BED since about the fourth grade! So that is like 42 years! I have gained and lost the same 70 pounds more than I can count do to the binges!
  • I'm 52 years old, 5'4"! Starting weight 196, CW 155. I have changed my goal weight a few times but at this time I'm hoping to hit 130.
  • This was my original question! Thanks for those who took the time to give some feedback pertaining to my question as I wasn't familiar with Herbalife. Sounds like a pyramid scheme I don't want any part of! I'm off to exercise, have a good one!
  • True!
  • LOL isn't an answer! Also didn't take too much time to type it I'm sure but thanks sooo much for taking that time, I so appreciate the knowledge you have shared, it has helped me decide as to whether or not Herbalife was a legit business.
  • I must live in a cave as I have never heard of anyone on it until just recently on our local FB page, she was trying to sell the product. Had no clue what it was until asking on here!
  • Thanks!!! Appreciate the feedback!
  • I think someone has just a little too much time to spend on the forums!! Really? my turn to say LOL, over 2000 post??? Based on the fact you have been on here since 2010 and have only lost 6 of your 10 pounds I really wouldn't find you as qualified to answer even the most basic question. What you do obviously isn't working…
  • I seldom eat out and while I use the nutritional info from packages I WEIGH all solids and measure ALL liquids. I did go back and averaged out on here my past 4 weeks. I was really at 2240 and lost just under a pounds this thrills me and tells me what I need to know, 2240 is basically what I need to maintain 156. My plan…
  • Thank you for your feedback! Many have voiced the advice of just eating correct but many of us use vitamins, and supplements to help us maintain our health. Not really sure why some took your opinion/ experience as a reason to lecture you! I appreciate your two cents worth!
  • Haha! I ruled out selling it!!! That is terrible, too bad the staff doesn't tell them to knock it off!!
  • Thanks, never thought about the over paying! 40 pounds off, using a scale, hitting great macros! portion control is no longer an issue! I do however consume one whey protein drink per day to help me hit my protein totals.
  • This^^^^! I lost the first 30 pounds effortlessly, I counted calories! I now exercise because it makes me feel better. I didn't get fat from lack of exercise, I got fat from over eating!!!
  • I had a tough time hearing 'it takes time' but knowing I'm in it for the long haul it has been worth the calorie playing!
  • Scary stuff! I have been eating an average of 2100 per day for the past four weeks. I gained 5pounds back the first week, now I'm up just half a pound. I want to lose more weight so not sure what I will do with my calories. Good luck!
  • I used the scooby site to figure my TDEE. I picked moderate exercise 3-5 times per week. I adjust my calories from that for weight loss. It is an average so I don't take into consideration my job, which can be fairly active many days (I'm a massage therapist). I would assume you would probably fall into the same range!
