^^^^ditto!!! A cook healthy meal....and just manage the portion size
-
Rudeness is ugly and unattractive. Please don't compound your already unfortunate circumstance.
-
Instead of limiting it all together - just limit your portion to one cup a day fixed how you like it.
-
Yes. :noway: And apparently 'dieting' makes you crabby too.
-
Younger woohoo!!!!!! I'm 54, people usually guess early 40's.

Sounds like you had a thorough workout - 77 minutes long. You should feel good about yourself. Unless you're training for something specific (marathon, competition ect) it's not necessary to workout for 2 + hours at a time. If you like working out for that long go for it. But it's not a necessary for good health and…

The scale is sometimes a poor way to measure progress. I'd take inches over weight any day!

I don't really buy into the whole 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day'. Sounds suspiciously like a campaign slogan that was dreamed up by a cereal company lol. But if you're concerned there are some quick light options - hard boiled eggs, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, banana or other fruits, peanut butter on a…

My goals are maintenance/ body composition and if I lost 5 more pounds that would be cool too. I very often don't track calories on the weekends. It doesn't mean it's a free for all. I depend on common sense and intuitive eating. Years ago people didn't have the tools we have now a days to track calories in/ out and they…

I wouldn't focus too specifically on one meal but look at your day as a whole. At the end of the day - how are your macros (protein, fat, carbs) looking? If you're hitting your macros, then your fine. If you feel your short in one category or another then add as necessary. And if you have to add more protein, fat or…

Heck yea I eat them back!!!

Hey I've been known to do jumping jacks and squats in the bathroom. But I do think people need to know having a desk job is not a handicap, it doesn't prevent you from being a fit person. Walk, move, stretch during work hours it's great for your circulation. But don't cheat yourself by skipping a proper workout!
-
News flash, a lot of us have desk jobs and it's never held us back from getting fit. Get a proper workout in during non-work hours and you'll be fine.

Start thinking of this as a long term commitment and a lifestyle change,... and not a 32 day race to look good while you're on holiday. Make healthy changes to your diet, stick to a sensible calorie goal, log everything, exercise, drink water, forget about past binges or failures. DO NOT eliminate entire foods groups from…

Good lord!! Well the first thing you want to lose is the negative people in your life! Welcome!! You don't have that much to lose. Stick with the plan, log everything, get some exercise and build yourself a nice supportive friend base on here. You'll do fine :flowerforyou:

1 - calorie deficit is all that is needed to lose weight. I love exercise and believe that people should exercise. But it's not required for weight loss. Calorie deficit = weight loss. Exercise = fitness. 2 - tell hubby you don't want to hike to get 'skinny', you want to hike for fitness, health and well being. the then…

I know what you mean. For the longest time I was convinced that there were 2 categories of foods. Good foods and bad foods. And just one bite of the bad foods meant you failed for the day. Now that I've been calorie counting I follow more of a 80/20 rule. 80% healthy foods.....20% fun foods... and I make sure it fits into…

30 day shred is cardio (circuit training cardio). It's a good work out but not considered strength training in the true sense of the term. I believe a good fitness program contains both strength and cardio. For strength training - focus on compound moves (pushups, pullups, planks, bench presses, overhead presses,…

Walking!! Leslie Sansone walk at home DVD's (some are free on youtube) Jessica Smith TV is free on youtube - tons of low impact workouts And don't be afraid to try something more intense - you should be a little bit out of your comfort zone. But there's no shame in taking it down a notch and doing the modifications as…

Oh my!! I love bakery goods and sweets! If it was me, rather than totally abstain from any sweets, I would allow myself a small sensible portion everyday and that's all. I would make sure I logged it and that it fit into my calorie goal for the day.

You don't have a problem, he does. YOU ARE NOT HEAVY, you look healthy and fit. There are plenty of guys out there that would find you attractive. That's neither here or there. The point is he should love you for who you are. My gut feeling...he's hiding something. And being a classic *kitten* by deflecting the blame onto…

^^^ Good answer!!!

Wifely submission?!?!:noway:

^^^^ This!

Since you have a restriction, I would talk with your Doctor first to find out what type of strength training would be best for you. Personally, I've tried resistance bands and found I didn't care for them that much. Just a preference.

No. Maintaining a consistent calorie deficit will contribute to your weight loss. Green tea while being somewhat healthy for you is so seriously overrated. Honey...enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning, log it in your diary, stay in your calorie goal. Giving up coffee is not necessary for weight loss! :drinker:
-
You're over thinking this :noway:
-
Pushups!!
-
I keep mine simple - a little bit of olive oil and some parmesan cheese

Your diary is not public so I'm guessing here.....maybe you're not eating enough? Classic mistake made by serial 'dieters'....it tends to be feast or famine. When you find the balance in between the two..you find success!
