I second it - pushups and planks. And lifting weights that challenge you!

I'm 55! Always happy to find new and dedicated friends around my age (although...all ages are welcome:))) If anyone is looking to add a supportive friend, who is active in the newsfeed and dedicated to a healthy lifestyle...feel free to send me a friend request! OP...I've sent one to you!

What everyone else in this thread and many many other threads have said - LIVER AND KIDNEYS. If you're feeling bloated because you've been eating too much crap well you're just going to have to pay your dues. There is no 'detox' or 'jump start'. If you're serious...eat healthy foods, healthy calorie intake, drink water,…

Yep! Youtube all the way! Jessica Smith TV, Befit90, Fitness Blender to name a few channels. All you have to do is a search in youtube and tons will pop up!

Had some this morning on top of my key lime greek yogurt! Damn. I knew I should have just ate a pop tart instead.

^^ Yup this!

Sorry honey but you do sound 'unhinged' and like you are battling an eating disorder. The binge and abstain yo-yo, see-saw eating pattern you're in is not healthy. And it doesn't have to be that way. Seek help....if not for yourself, for your loved ones.

First off - you look amazing! So stop stressing out because you think you're still too big. You're not. You're healthy and fit. Second - have you seen your Doctor for a physical? I'm sure nothing is wrong but it's always nice to cross that off your list. 3 - you are not eating at TDEE. At only 1400 calories and your…

Lol...great post! And congrats on your weight loss!

TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR.

Weekends are always a big challenge! I usually make sure I get a few really good calorie burning workouts for damage control. But basically it boils down to good old fashion willpower. Gone are the days of 4 5 6 7 8 however many cocktails and then a 2am trip to the all night diner for a huge omlette and hash browns after…

I didn't realize it got that cold in Missouri? 1- if you are not used to do any exercise ...you can start at home using youtube...there are tons of free cardio workouts on youtube. In addition to using those workouts on your own you can do umping jacks, jump rope, jogging in place, running up an down stairs, dancing your…

^^This! There is a possibility of it happening but it's not an absolute like that woman's Doctor worded it. I had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago. I was a chronic 'dieter' most of my life. I only learned sensible eating habits when I got older. So I know poor dietary habits contributed to my gallbladder attacks. Good…

I have a one can of diet soda everyday. Occasionally I'll have a 'real' soda...I love an ice cold coca cola but I usually stick with the diet to conserve calories. Bad, I know but I'd love to peak into the cupboards of some of these people preaching to the choir about what to eat and what not to eat;) I wonder if some of…

COFFEE!!!! And a walk helps too. But mainly COFFEE!

I really should not have laughed at this :blushing:

You beat me to it!

NO. Consistently consuming more calories than your body needs is what makes you fat.
-
Yep! What she said!!!!

If what you are doing is working for you don't worry about what others think!!! Personally I could NEVER go low carb. It would be a sad sad world without pasta:cry:
-
If it were as simple as a pill EVERYONE would be doing it and strutting their great results. Oprah would have patented it by now and called them KeOPRAHtones. Consistent calorie deficit = weight loss.

I weigh myself once every couple of months. An honest look in the mirror will tell you if you are progressing. Or taking measurements is a better indicator of progress and also how you're clothes fit.
-
^^^^Wise words!

Too many calories is too many calories. Period. No matter if it's healthy food or junk. So as long as your grapes are fitting into your daily calorie goal then it's not a problem. But if it's causing you to consistently go over your daily goal then you are no longer in the calorie deficit you need to lose weight.

6 or 6:30 pm dinner hardly sounds unreasonable. In fact I'd say that's still fairly early in the evening! I don't know the dynamics of your relationship with your husband, so I could be wrong here but - if he's a hard working sole provider to the household, and it allows you the privilege to stay at home and raise the…

My opinion is 'diet's' don't work. A sensible caloric deficit, a variety of foods, stay active and BE CONSISTENT. That's all you need.

Whewww!! Everyone is a scientist!! Thanks to google, cuz we know the internet doesn't lie!! I like to keep things simple. Eat an entire package of cookies in one day = bad. Eat healthy all day and reward yourself with 2 or 3 cookies = OK in my book.
-
4 days! Only 4 days. Please please allow yourself some time to see results!!! You didn't gain the weight over night, you will not lose it overnight. Stop getting on the scale....weigh in once a week. Have patience, stay consistent and you will get results.
-
Thanks but no thanks. Life is too short to worry about eating a cookie or 2 and it's just plain too sad to think that I'd never enjoy an ice cream cone or a glass or wine ever again.....why? It's all about moderation for me! Fill your day with awesome healthy foods...proteins, veggies, fruit, grains and please for godsake…

I have one or two cups of coffee a day fixed the way I like to drink it - with real sugar and real full fat half and half. It works out to about 85 - 90 calories a cup (@180 for both), fits into my daily allowance of calories.
