Thanks guys for all your valuable information! 5x5 or "starting strength" may be my go-to. Another question, do you guys find working out in the am or pm better? Im afraid to workout before work in fear I will be exhausted during the shift!

Both will lose weight. A deficit is still a deficit. The quality of the food will impact each on a cellular level. Obviously the non clean eater will be filling their body with much more artificial ingredients.

I'm six feet and currently at 205 (From 325). I couldn't imagine being less than 170. I went down to 185 a year ago and felt skeletal.

Just because you are not losing doesn't necessarily mean it's because you are over eating. You may actually be under eating.

There is of course always the concern of not actually eating enough and going into starvation mode, especially if you are exercises regularly and not keeping track. You may not be taking into account the more of a calorie defect you are creating and thus not eating any of those extra calories your exercise has allotted. It…

Honestly I would get a Heart Rate monitor to calculate your HR and calories while exercising and a digital scale to weigh out food.

Plain oatmeal keeps me full for long periods, if I add peanut butter it extends that even further. Usually I eat it a few hours before a workout.

Thank you all! I am still on my journey, but want to inspire people as it is possible!! NEVER give up!

All I can say, as someone who was 330 pounds is don't give up! a lifestyle change is a forever journey, enjoy all the things you are going to learn about yourself along the way! I didn't see much change for the first 6 months that I started, but slowly my weight start coming down and it has been life changing. I was 23…

I have one too, I was told by my GP that it's only really corrected by surgery. I am sure you can minimize it by fat loss.

Thank you :) I am just frustrated with the last 30 lbs that are holding on for dear life!

Honestly, Plain oatmeal or a protein bar. So pretty much what's being recommended.
-
awesome, thank you!
-
Do you have any recommendations for foods that keep you feeling satiated?
-
Yeah that's a good point. I do have a food scale that I do not use often, so I will make that my new goal.

Thank you! and yes, takes a lot of patience. Doesn't happen overnight. I was truly a lazy person, who didn't make the time to take care of myself! This is the most recent pic of me at my wedding on November 29th 2014:

I think it may be water retention. I have stayed pretty consistent over the last 6 months. My calories is set at 1480 a day, and I have tried to stay fairly constant with logging. The bagel and coffee are not setting me over, but I am thinking perhaps the quality of the food may leave me less satiated. I have the tendency…

I wanted to add as well that my diet is decent, my only guilty pleasure is a bagel and coffee every morning which I know must end eventually *sigh*

Thanks for the replies ladies! I do about 30 minutes of heavy lifting and 30 mins interval running/elliptical x3 a week. But my stomach hangs around, must have to twerk my diet a bit. I think around 170 is perfect for my frame, I was at 189 in November and it started to make me look "thin", so I don't know if i would go…
