  • A burger joint I go to, which I actually havent gone to in ages has an option for hot peanut butter sauce which is out of this world delicious. To get back to the original post, I tend to have proper food an hour before a workout, nothing during a workout and proper food that might be a shake but doesnt have any protein…
  • Since I no longer press overhead on the advice of my physio, what exercises do you do to get great delts @tattygun ?
  • Sounds like you have it all covered. I'll get my programmer to work up a similar type of program to that.
  • Thanks. Do you do similar for the back? As someone once said to me, you dont want to end up like a Gorilla, all front loaded with a massive chest and not much going on in the back department.
  • You have the kind of chest that I want @broghansmith without sounding gay or anything. When I get a new program soon, I will include this twice a week, once a week with barbell and the other with dumbbell.
  • I'm surprised how much the water weight has whooshed off me in the space of a week which is great. I can see how using the word "cutting" would put the look of horror on peoples faces. I just dont like the word as it sounds so mechanical. While I didnt have any Mediterranean mammas feeding me, mores the pity, I was an…
  • Yes Mediterranean food is hard to resist alright @anna_glassshoes . Was in Italy myself last week and like you, while I attempted to restrain myself, it didnt really work but I enjoyed all the delicious food immensely. Was up 1.5kg after it, a KG of which is nearly gone by now so like you will do a slow defluff (hate the…
  • All of the above especially what @Rusty740 said

  • Back from a one week trip in Italy where I ate all the carbs, pizza, pasta, bread (so much bread), gelato, you name it, I had it. In the process gained 1.5kg/3.3lbs which isn't bad considering all the carbs I ate & I wasnt tracking. Plan now is to "defluff" till I hit in or around 62kg/137lbs and get bulking again.
  • That is all true and I was somewhat over the top in my post above. However I am of the same mindset as @ndj1979 in that I like to eat and have the occasional, or not so occasional alcoholic beverage.
  • Would 100% agree with this @john3064 . Before I came on here over 3 years ago, I had stupidly wanted to get abs but wasnt eating right and was way too skinny. Since coming on here, mindset has changed and as long as I have a strong core from working out and doing Pilates, that is all I am looking for because abs arent the…
  • I sure did. Eat it all today @filbo132
  • After my initial 3kg/6.6lbs loss of the holiday fluff from the states, the weight is slow to fall off in advance of my trip to Italy this 2 day weeks but I don't mind as I don't have that much to lose. Recorded a 0.5kg/1.1lbs loss for the last week so to allow me some wiggle room for the upcoming trip for all the pizza,…
  • It's one of the main reasons I got into Pilates as I found my posture from a desk bound job was getting worse. Posture has improved. Also some of the stretches that are done in Pilates are great for the area that I had the issues in and would be good for the OP as well.
  • Is your job a desk bound type job @aown61 ? Mine is. My issues, mainly tendinitis which started in my left forearm as a result of how my work station was set up, when it cleared from there went into my left chest area and when cleared from there went into my left rotator cuff. An ergonomist was brought into my workplace…
  • Hi. This was me last year when trying to put clothes on on my upper half. I know you find it very hard to stop training but to be honest with you, I would until you have that ultra sound because you could be making it worse. While its great to see that you aren't doing any exercises that involves raising your arms above…
  • I will throw the following out there. If you are experiencing forward shoulder posture all day and pectoral tightness as @_Phill727 and if this is from an office job hunched over a computer keyboard like what happened to @Packerjohn I would suggest taking up pilates. It has helped me with my posture from a desk bound job…
  • Had rotator cuff issues last year. Went to physio who gave me good exercises and stretches to do to help improve the issues which I still do now for overall health of the area. I could still workout at the time but was told not to do anything overhead, especially OHP, pulls ups & the like and to not go below parallel on…
  • How long have you been stuck for? If its over a month, add 100-250 calories to your total, give it a month and see if the weight increases. No increase after a month, rinse and repeat until the weight starts going up.
  • I would second this @caseyjames33 . Carry on bulking as long as you are comfortable adding on that amount. You will probably lose the rest of that 6 pack but it will come back when you defluff
  • Fair enough. Good luck with it.
  • Not a bad plan but I would suggest and there is no harm in going up to waist 32".
  • Nice one. Have you a goal weight in mind @pbryd or bulking as others do until they hate themselves?
  • Quick non judgmental question - Do you have low testosterone? Have you had it checked? I personally don't use supplements (bar fish oils for my creaky knees) as I get everything through food but each to their own. Just thought I would ask.
  • Would second all of this @stevehubbard6911 . While I worked out for years, I was winging it. It wasnt until 3 years ago when I went to a PT at the age of 32 that things started to change for the better. I was skinny with no muscle before I went to him despite going to the gym but that all changed after I started going to…
  • Incredibly off topic but when I worked in a department store and had not shaved for a few days, I was requested by the manager to go home at lunchtime and shave. Was half tempted to ask her if this rule applied to all workers as there was one female colleague who had quite thick and very very very noticeable facial hair…
