Thank you for your replies::smile: I am currently taking a performance daily vitamin (higher levels of Bs) and my iron was at the lowest normal level, so that may be a factor. I am currently eating more lean protein than carbs. And previously I was doing cardo (treadmil and elliptical 4x week) and switched to Insanity…

Nope, still have a min of 20 lbs to go!
-
I do INSANITY and log it in as high impact aerobics. But I've asked that before and most responses come back as using a HRM is the best way to know.

Welcome! This is a great site with a lot of support. You can add me as your friend.Good luck to you on your journey!

I agree with plrawrie and fitandhealthy. Maybe instead of trying to gulp down 8 oz at once, you carry a bottle with you and sip through out the day. That may help you get all your water in. I have a huge bottle with me at work (36 oz) and make sure I finish it before the end of the day. And I drink another 3 cups while…

wow, you don't seem to look like you need Hydroxycut...did you loose any weight?
-
Remember the slower the weigh loss, the more that your body will get used to it and be able to sustain it. Keep doing what you're doing, you are loosing weight. Do it for yourself!! You'll feel more confident and not let those remarks get to you so much. Often times parents mean well, they just don't come out and say it…

Feel free to add me on too, can never have too many friends or too much support! As you can see we come from all over and all have various goals, but still one thing in common...getting healthy!! Good luck to you!!

Thank you all for the info!! It definately helps. I am about 1/2 way through my weigh loss goal and seem to be hitting a plateau ( lost 1.2 lbs in 3 weeks) all while really hitting my calorie goals and working out about 5-6 times a week) So I am trying to mix it up. I am noticing a loss in inches so at least I know that it…

thanks for the info! That definately helps, although do women use the chest strap? I do a variety of workouts (InSanity, hiking, running, yoga, strength training, playing outdoors w/ my kids and dogs etc.) I figured that the HRM would give me a better understanding what I am burning.

I am wonderting the same thing. Most people I talk to recommend it as you input more specific info about yourself (gender, height, weight, etc) I think the calories on MFP are estimated. I am trying to shop around and figure out a good one to get. Anyone, any recommendations?

Bratgrr1 and HardmanGT, What kind of HRM do you have? Do you like it? I am shopping around for a good/basic/inexpensive one (in that order LOL). Thanks!

Here's where I stand: Your score is 1.92. Your body is closest to a Mesomorph. You have a naturally fit body but to maintain it or improve it you should exercise and diet correctly for your type. Strength training can be done more often and for longer sessions then would be good for an Ectomorph, but you must still be…

Currently I work out about 1 hr each day M-F with my husband after work and one more time for 1 1/2 -2 hrs on either Sat or Sun. Right now we are doing Insanity M,W,F and weights at the gym T,TH. On the weekends I either run or use the elliptical or both.
-
You could be hitting a plateau as your body is getting comfortable in your current routine. You may try to change up the kinds of cardo or exercises that you do as well as increase the time you do it. Good Luck!
-
I like that!!!

My scale lies...I have lost inches all over and only 2 lbs. on my scale. I am getting tighter all over, so hopefully one day the fat will magically go away and I'll be ripped LOL. (I know, wishful thinking):ohwell:

Just started Insanity on Sunday and even the Fit Test is a hardcore work out. Great cardo, but you will be using your full body. Not sure what you injury is but there are workouts that do involve the arms (push ups, planks, etc.) but it is a great work out. Good luck to you.

pjilly, that is great...I have a ways to go but I am determined to get there! I have 2 small kids that monopolize a lot of my time. Right now I am waiting for earlier sunrise so that I can get up at 5am to get a workout in before dropping them off to school and going to work by 8am. I know I am not the only one with this…

Wow! Sounds like you've had yourself a bad day (week?)...hang in there!! And better yet, chanel all your frustrations out on your workout! I do that when I have a bad day and wind up burning crazy calories (and then you can eat a bit more) also Kickboxing helps!! Good luck to you!

Once I hit the healthy weight that I am shooting for (150), I will assess if there room to loose a few more pounds (145). I am 5'7" so am trying to be realistic on not going too low. I definately plan on maintaining it and working out extra hard if I do splurge. But ultimately I just want to keep up with the eating healthy…

I just tried the Strawberry one today, not too bad for 100 calories! Small package but sweet enough.

wow, thank you for the responses! I am always leary on the informercials since they are really there to sell the product but you always wonder if they work. Thanks again!:flowerforyou:

Yum!! Thanks!

I try to eat 3 small meals a day with 2 small snacks (fruit or cheese stick or yogurt) in between. I am at a desk all day too, so I prepackage some snacks and keep in them my drawer. For me, I notice that if I eat every 3 hrs or so, I am not as hungry at my next meal AND it feels good to each enough not to be hungry vs…

wow, sounds great!

Thank you all for your responses! I guess that does make a lot of sense...
