  • Mostly for chicken breasts, hard boiled eggs, steel cut oats, and Mongolian Beef. Super easy, food always comes out perfectly and its super fast. Here's a great link for pressure cooking times for just about any kind of food you can think of, plus altitude adjustment if that applies to you.…
  • I've spent 20+ years of my life morbidly obese, since childhood. I've always had extremely disordered eating habits and never thought I would ever break free of that. I never cared about myself, or my health at all. I only cared about the food and would eat whatever I wanted... whenever I wanted. Shame, guilt, self-pity,…
  • I still make a batch of these every week for my husband. He has a weakness for donuts and he loves these! Plus he can eat 3 of them for 350 calories. His favorite so far is pumpkin with maple icing <3
  • @kellyjellybellyjelly I saw the pumpkin spice pop tarts last year at Walmart, didn't try them though. This thread was pretty popular last fall, I'll leave it here for you ;) http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10439251/all-of-you-pumpkin-spice-aficionados/p1
  • Fiber One cereal is 60 cals and 14g fiber per 30g serving. It's great mixed into greek yogurt <3
  • Gotcha, yeah it sounds like an awesome blender even so. Pulsing might work better to help keep that powerful vortex bubble from forming. I never would have thought that having too powerful of a blender would be bad for making ice cream either :/ And thanks for the info @nowine4me! How did the breakfast fluff taste with the…
  • @maisiba Glad you got it to work! Soft serve is pretty much exactly what it is, and you have to eat it fast before it melts. Here is my Shamrock ice cream before adding the Reddi whip and you can see the consistency is very soft serve and the edges start to melt quickly so I eat around the outside first. (nom! That's kinda…
  • @crazyravr You take great photos, they always look so delicious and professional! @GottaBurnEmAll That is great news! I'm happy you get to enjoy your ice cream again and yummo with the strawberries. Crazy volume is where its at! B) I experimented with making the Shamrock Shake protein ice cream with french vanilla pp and…
  • The ones through that link are all behind a paywall from what I can tell. Here's the link to his youtube recipes: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnJ4PrKks7cT-Vo5WhpVBDSWv-KIzqEKj
  • I've tried his jello recipe, it was delicious and high volume. I really want to try his cookies n cream pop tart but I'm afraid I'll eat the whole thing :# Omg that link... drool
  • Just water here too. If you try it let us know how it turns out!
  • Ahhh I see. It has the full size blade for the tall one which is the exact one I have in my Ninja too. Good thing you discovered that! I like the idea of having those different size cups and blades for various things. Very cool set :)
  • That's awesome! Which Ninja set do you have?
  • woot woot happy early birthday!!
  • I bought a tub of Pure Protein French Vanilla pp awhile ago on Amazon but I didn't really like it that much as a shake or in my cheesecake recipe so its just been sitting in my pantry. I decided to give it a go as ice cream (inspired by @nowine4me with the chocolate syrup and sprinkles). Annnnd holy crap, it makes…
  • I will have to remember to look for it next year. Hmm in the meantime it looks like I could experiment with the actual recipe for the real Shamrock shake to make an ice cream version. Vanilla pp, almond milk, green food coloring, peppermint extract, and the syrup. Topped with Fat free reddi whip and maraschino cherries. I…
  • Hold the phone! Is it seasonal? I googled and saw there is also a pumpkin pie flavor of this but also not available currently.
  • I've always loved my Black+Decker appliances. I hope it works well for you!
  • Ninja Professional model number BL610. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ninja-professional-1000-3-speed-blender-black-silver/3883007.p?skuId=3883007 Under the photos there is a demo video where the guy shows you the blender making snow with a full tray of ice cubes in a few seconds. You bet your *kitten* that was the first…
  • Your in between version sounds good too, and if your happy with that then I call that a win ;) Gotcha. Yeah if the blender can't crush up ice very well, its definitely going to be a struggle to make ice cream. Mine will crush an entire tray of ice cubes in 3 seconds to snow which is pretty impressive to me. My old blender…
  • @maisiba Wow you are quite the experimenter! I don't make fluff at all, I only tried it once and it was an epic fail. See we all have our strengths :# I'm not sure if your trying to make ice cream or fluff but it kinda sounds like your going for ice cream? You say your ice cream is soupy? From your recipe it looks like you…
  • Lucky Vitamin online has a good price on xanthan gum, as does Amazon. My Walmart sells the little packets of it in the gluten free section for $1 each but you only get like .32 ounce for that price so not a good deal unless you just want to try it out first.
  • @nowine4me that is SO pretty and looks amazing!
  • haha I don't know about that I'm still learning too :p I've never tried using a whey/casein blend but it sounds like it worked better for you! Don't be confused, mine was 100% casein so that's probably why I had such a hard time with it. I've been trying to convince myself for a couple of weeks now to scale back to making…

  • Oh no you can absolutely still make great ice cream with casein or a casein/whey blend. For me (not using xantham gum) I noticed the casein didn't blend as easily and started trying different things until I got it to come out with the right texture/consistency. If your getting good results then stick with that, but if your…
  • Sounds good! You said your PEScience samples are a whey/casein blend right? Because when I make ice cream with my casein pp I have that exact same problem. What fixes it for me is adding the syrup, almond milk, extract, sweetener, pp, then ice and blending it all at once instead of adding the pp last after the ice is…
  • Yay! Pretty crazy right? Ice cream magic <3
  • Exited to hear how your PEScience samples are! And holy crap that meal looks delish too.
