  • I've been doing this for 3+ years now, works well for me. I figured hey I put my son on a schedule, why not the same for myself? I eat at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm, and again at 10pm before bed. It's only 2 hours between meals/snacks. I prefer eating smaller amounts more frequently so I spread my calories…
  • I'm sure that would work, give it a try and let us know!
  • You will not be disappointed! I've been making it for breakfast every morning for the past week now. It's just so amazing and keeps me very full which is always a nice bonus. I don't see myself getting sick of eating protein ice cream so.. it will be a daily staple now :)
  • If you have a blender you can make protein ice cream, makes a giant bowl and has changed my life <3 60 ml sugar free maple syrup 120 ml unsweetened almond milk 30g protein powder (recommend chocolate or cookies n cream) Entire tray of ice cubes 3g xanthan gum Add everything to the blender let it go 4-5 minutes. Pour into a…
  • I did something similar but instead of cake it made a fudge brownie and I was mind blown! 30g protein powder (I used ON whey chocolate) 5g cocoa 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 60 ml unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 tsp of splenda Combine all dry ingredients in a microwave safe mug and stir well, then add the milk and stir…
  • Thank you for posting this! I googled and found the video. I just tried it with strawberry jello and it was super filling and very tasty, (I forgot to add my whip cream even). A little rich on the cheesecake "frosting" I think 2 or 3 grams would have been enough of the dry cheesecake pudding mix. I will have to experiment…
  • This is what I buy too, the dannon light & fit greek vanilla and add 3g PB2 powder and mix it in... omg it tastes like a nutter butter cookie <3
  • I tried this, it did not mix well and made my yogurt really gross which was upsetting because I loved the idea :/
  • I went in and paid the $10 to have my picture updated when I hit 135lbs lost. Partly to celebrate hitting my goal weight and partly because I was afraid I was unrecognizable. It was almost due to be renewed anyway.
  • When I get this craving, I buy the Thomas Bagel Thins (110 cals each) and the Philadelphia Very Berry Cream Cheese (50 cal serving). So that's 160 calories. You can satisfy your craving without blowing your calories if you want to. I never try to avoid something I'm craving I just plan and make it fit. Sure its not a giant…
  • Mix the powder into all kinds of things but never add water to make it into peanut butter. I put it in my cheesecake recipe, my oatmeal, greek yogurt, sprinkle it on top of my bran cereal, protein shakes, I love the stuff! Have to buy it in bulk off Amazon I go through it so fast! My favorite is mixing it into my greek…
  • My Walmart started carrying all the flavors so I finally shelled out the $5 and got the Salted Caramel. It was so good I ate the whole pint, there was absolutely no stopping me :D I thought it tasted amazing and now every time I go to Walmart I have to visit the Halo Top section and I just stand there and drool, and…
  • No never hit any plateaus along the way. I started in Feb 2014 at 268lbs and hit my goal weight in July 2016 at 130lbs. I was however very accurate with my logging, used a food scale, and stayed very consistent. Still am, still do. I've been in maintenance for 9 months after losing a total of 142 pounds and nothing has…
  • This! I just whipped up a batch of egg salad this morning. Hard boiled eggs are so quick and easy I can't even believe it. 6 minutes cooking time, plus 5 minutes natural release, transfer to cold water for a few minutes and they are perfect. MUCH easier to peel than cooking them on the stove. I diced them up in a bowl with…
  • From all the years I've been reading the forums here I've only ever seen one other person besides myself say they needed to go up in shoe size after losing a significant amount of weight. It's much more common for your feet to shrink. After losing over 140+ pounds I went from a 10.5 to an 11 shoe. I never understood how it…
  • I just recently got a pressure cooker and I'm in love with it! I use mine for making an individual serving of steel cut oats everyday. I've made hard boiled eggs, perfect on the first try. Chicken is super easy, comes out so tender it practically shreds itself with a fork. I do one boneless chicken breast, 3/4 cup water,…
  • Started Feb 2014 at 268lbs, size 22 jeans 2x-3x tops. Hit goal weight in July 2016 and currently at 126lbs, size 4 jeans and small tops. I'm 5'4. Logging, weighing my food, and walking daily B) This is a fun progress photo I made when I hit 100 pounds lost to celebrate! And then I hit 142 pounds lost and have been…
  • This is EXACTLY it, right here. It's like I could have written this myself, I can relate to every single thing you said. This is what enabled me to be successful with taking control of my disordered eating habits and in my weight loss. Very wise words here!
  • For me it took 2.5 years to lose 142 pounds. That's without taking any diet breaks along the way. The last 20lbs took a tad over a year to lose. After spending 20+ years of my life morbidly obese, finding mfp and educating myself on how weight loss actually works was a breath of fresh air. Eat what I enjoy as long as I…
  • Great job! You got smaller and Boba Fett got bigger :D
  • Optimum Nutrition Protein powder in Mocha Cappuccino with caffeine, tastes amazing! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QQA0MIS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  • Lost 142 pounds and currently in maintenance since July 2016 :) From 268lbs size 22, to 126lbs size 4
  • I cook a serving of steel cut oats in my pressure cooker then refrigerate overnight, heat up in the morning in the microwave (add a little extra water and stir first), and they are just as great as when they come fresh out of the cooker. I'm not sure about old fashioned oats, never tried doing that. I add all my mix ins…
  • You are doing fantastic and will inspire many people!! Great job!!
  • My go to easy meal is about 2.5oz of sliced turkey breast, half a slice of colby jack cheese (9g), stuffed inside an orrowheat multigrain pita (100 cals) and toasted in the toaster oven. Takes 1 minute to prep then about 5-7 minutes to toast. I add a serving of my favorite Sunchips and that makes it a 340 calorie meal. The…
  • When I started here 3 years ago I was doing the Leslie Sansone walk at home videos and I figured hey why can't I do this without actually watching her video every day? So walking in place got way too easy after a while and then I started jogging and never looked back. If my son needs something I just hit pause on my watch…
  • I jog in place for 35 min twice per day as that is the only exercise that I've found that is sustainable for me. Get my video game time in while burning a few calories ;) Outside of that I'm fairly sedentary but I *try* not to be.
  • I'm glad I read this thread because I didn't even think to check the expatriation dates, duh! I've only tried Honey Mustard and Creamy Caesar so far. The Honey Mustard was a bit too vinegar-y to me but the Creamy Caesar is fantastic!
  • I just weaned myself off the international delight over the past few years by decreasing the amount slowly over time until I was down to 1 teaspoon per cup. Then I switched over to Stevia or Splenda and unsweetened almond milk and I think it taste amazing now. I also like the Silk almond caramel creamer @ 15 cals per Tbsp.…
  • A great trick I learned is to use tongs to mix your dressing into your salad, it coats extremely well! I only add 20g dressing for 100g of Spinach and it's more than enough ;) Then I add shredded cheese and since the leaves are wet from the dressing it makes the cheese coat beautifully with the tongs too.
