I've just been using the same scale for the past 28 months. When I started at 268 pounds it said I was 55% BF, now that I'm at 131 pounds it says I am 21.8% BF. I know these scales are not accurate at all but I just use that number as another tool to measure progress over time. I would guess I am at least 5% higher than…

"I’m so mad at myself for neglecting my health and my body for so long. I’m also very proud of myself for finally getting things under control. I feel better than I have in 20 years." I feel the exact same way! Congratulations you look amazing, really so much younger too. High five! We are the same height and have similar…

Good catch!

Been doing this for over two years now. I've lost 137lbs and 1 more to my goal weight. I stay motivated by setting smaller goals along the way. In the beginning it was reaching my first 20lbs lost, going down to the next size in jeans, getting out of the next BMI range, seeing my progress photos... etc. The motivation to…

A new one! Down 137lbs after 27 months.

I started 27 months ago and I have lost 136lbs so far, with only 2 more to my goal weight. The first 100lbs took 15 months, and another 12 months for the 36lbs. I have not taken any diet breaks along the way but I do take one day off every week and eat at maintenance calories since day one. I found a way of eating that was…

Fantastic job you look amazing! I've been losing for exactly 27 months too, that is pretty cool that someone else started the same time as me :) Yay us!!!

2 years ago when I started my weight loss journey I never drank water. I really just couldn't stand plain water, now its the only thing I drink besides coffee. I knew I needed to start drinking it so I bought a cute stainless steel insulated water bottle on amazon:…

I'm a little jealous of everyone who went down in shoe size! I seem to be a freak of nature because after losing 136lbs I've had to go from a size 10 to an 11. I have no explanation for it, I was REALLY hoping my feet would get smaller. It's really hard to find cute shoes in size 11 too :'(

I never thought I would be at a healthy weight! I thought I would be morbidly obese forever because that's the only life I've ever known. Here I am almost to my goal weight, I still can't believe it. I owe it all to tracking my food here on mfp, my food scale, and of coarse my determination :)

Wow great job! You look so much younger too!

For me it was the fact that I just couldn't take feeling so miserable in my body any longer. After 20+ years of being morbidly obese, and using food as my best friend.. I was just desperate to break the cycle and stop feeling so depressed every day. Physical pain, being uncomfortable, not being able to walk around the…

I have a neck now :)

SW: 268lbs size 22 CW: 133lbs size 4 I am 5'4 and US sizes. I've lost a total of 24 inches off of my waist so far.

Definitely pictures. When you look at yourself in the mirror every single day its too hard to see the gradual changes. Progress pictures however do not lie!
-
The biggest change for me is my mood. I don't feel depressed and miserable everyday anymore. I'm MUCH happier and look forward to my future now instead of sitting around hiding from the world and feeling sorry for myself all the time. Second biggest change is that I feel better in general. I don't have the stomach distress…

After losing 135 pounds I am now within 3lbs from my goal weight. Set your goal to .5lb per week, weigh your food to the gram, choose accurate entries from the database, chart your weight on a site like Trendweight.com, and if you don't already have one consider a tracker like Fitbit to get a general idea of your TDEE.…

This is exactly what worked for me too.

Starting weight was 268lbs, current is 134lbs. My calves have gone from 18" to 12.5", so for me that's a pretty significant difference. I'm able to wear boots for the first time in my life so yes it definitely is possible.

If its not time to eat yet I will find something to do. There's always a drawer or a closet that could be sorted and organized. Chores that need to be done, etc. It's really hard to eat while you are jogging in front of the TV too. Time flies by and then whoo hoo time to eat!
-
You must feel SO much better!!! Congrats on your progress and wow 150lbs is amazing! Go you!

If you never give up, then you can never fail.

I started at 268lbs and am now sitting at 135lbs. The worst area for me is there is so much saggy skin on my upper thighs and my upper arms. My boobs are definitely deflated balloons and they sag horribly but I am far more self conscious about my thighs. I was morbidly obese for 20+ years so my skin will not likely bounce…

Yes 10 capsules is about 4 grams of fiber, I buy it at Target, Walmart, or Amazon. Probably more expensive to buy it that way too but an option for people like me who don't like the consistency of it in liquids or foods. I actually don't take it for the extra fiber as much as I take it for the benefit of.. how do I say...…

You can buy psyllium fiber in pill capsule form as well. It's the only way I can stand to get it down personally. Great stuff though!
-
You look completely different, keep up the great work! It's harder for people who see you everyday to notice the changes so I wouldn't take it to heart. Show them your before and after photo and I'll bet they will be pretty surprised!

Congrats! You have done amazing!

Bravo! What a wonderful way to celebrate hitting your goal weight, you rock!
