  • My happy weight is 140.4lbs My Current weight is 148lb so not far to go now Although my eventual goal weight is 126lb, but I think I will get to 133lb and see how I feel. I have been 140lb before and still felt I could lose a few pounds, so we will see
  • triple post! my laptop went crazy!
  • double post sorry
  • I like my steak to taste like steak... lol (unless I am indulging in a peppercorn sauce, mmm) So I just brush it with oil add salt and pepper to mine and fry it on a griddle pan on medium heat I eat rump steak or sirloin and like it medium-rare which takes 3 minutes on each side. mmm steak! Fillet steak is my fave but so…
  • Generally speaking avoid cream based sauces e.g tikka masala, korma and choose rich tomato based sauces such as rogan josh, jalfrezi, balti etc I buy jars of curry sauces cos I like something quick and easy, but I add lots of onions, mushrooms and peppers to my chicken and serve it with basmati rice. The sauces I use are…
  • Soup? most varieties are low calorie (obv not the creamed ones) and very filling I don't need to eat bread with my soup, I just have it on its own and eat a full can, most varieties I buy are 150 cals or less per 400g can But you could probably fit in a half can of soup and a small slice of bread into your calories too.
  • Well done on the 13.5lb loss since beginning of Feb :) I have been back at class since Jan and have only lost 7lb, but at least it's coming off... lol
  • I go to Rosemary Conley. I have been attending classes since September 2008. It is a calorie controlled diet, you also aren't meant to eat anything over 5% fat (with the exception of lean beef and oily fish) and you get an exercise class included in your weekly fee. The diet plan has changed slighly since I first started,…
  • I didn't think it was a hunger suppressant? I thought it made you get rid of a lot of the fat from your food, as it goes "right through" ?
  • In the UK it's not recommended for use by those with a BMI under 28, you can still buy it online but a pharmacist wouldn't sell it. But I think in the US you can pick it up just about anywhere?? Anyway... from what I have read, if you are already eating a healthy balanced diet then you probably don't need it, because it…
  • 13 stone is 182lb We use stones in the UK :) A stone is 14lb
  • I went on a 5 day caribbean cruise and gained 14lb!! no joke Is your cruise one with formal dining or more casual? I went with Royal Caribbean and we mainly went for formal dining. There were about 6 choices for starter, main and dessert every night and there was always a healthier option, I just never chose any of them!…
  • My Rosemary Conley fitness instructor told me that the body can only metabolise one thing at a time. If you drink alcohol it puts all it's efforts into ridding your body of that toxin and so cannot burn fat at the same time it is getting rid of alchohol. So basically every time you drink, you are delaying your fat loss. In…
  • I had my supermarkets own version of Special K, with dried pomegranates in it, with semi skimmed milk yesterday I had scrambled egg on wholemeal toast. My usual breakfast is porridge though
  • I eat the crusts of my sandwiches off first, on both sides of the sandwich before I will take a bite out of the filling. I don't think it's that odd but my hubby laughs at me I think he is the one with the wierd habits- he also won't eat food off the bone and dissects all meat to remove fat and gristle, and he wont eat…
  • I think a cup is about 225g? according to wikianswers :) x
  • I doubt I will be wearing strapless stuff, even when I get to goal My boobs never shrink enough and I don't feel at all supported in strapless bra's, I am always having to adjust my bra and it just annoys me! Vests for me I think!
  • Not a big chocolate eater really, but I do like dark chocolate when hormonal, lol Green and blacks with cherries or Lindt with chilli are my favourites. As for cake, I love carrot cake or a lemon cupcake :)
  • Well a lot of coconut milk is used in thai dishes, particularly curry but also other dishes. o in general avoid those :) I love tom yam soup though and fill up on that, it has coconut milk in it, but not a lot, it's lovely and spicy and fills me up enough that I won't gorge myself on too much rice etc, which although…
  • It's 3.20pm here in the UK. So far I have had Breakfast: Syrup Flavoured instant porridge with semi-skimmed milk Snack: One of my childrens home made cupcakes- it was horrible and a waste of 100 calories! Lunch: Vegetable and Lentil soup and a packet of corn snacks Dinner will be: Sausage Casserole, with reduced fat…
  • Oh and I have never heard of a pupu platter, but the name of it makes it sound gross if its pronounced how it's spelt! :P I guess it's chinese hor's douvres? x
  • I would go for some hot and sour soup, mmm. I fnd it really filling and so yummy! chicken and sweetcorn soup is quite low-cal too Or if you want something more substantial, perhaps something like chicken with broccoli or pineapple and some steamed rice
  • I find that what I eat shows on the scales the second week rather than my initial weigh in. If I have had a really good week and get to the scales and stay the same, I feel bad, but then generally have a bigger than usual loss the following week Even my class instructor says to me "it will show next week" But I guess there…
  • I am always ravenous the week before I get my AF Is it that time soon?
  • I have always had large calves but since I have been slimmer I now have "odd" legs My right leg can fit in normal boots and they zip, but my left one I need wide-fit boots- so annoying! It's expensive as there are only a few places that stock wide-fit calf fitting, plus half the time I don't like them!
  • Before I regained my weight (sob) I had lost 18.5lb and never went down a dress size, OK so my clothes were less tight, but I still couldn't get into the next size down. I think that's just my body shape though, I have broad shoulders and carry weight on my boobs and they never seem to shrink so it makes sense that I won't…
  • sushi and a fruit salad?
  • I have done it 5 times so far, at level 1 I think it definitely works as I hadn't lost any weight for 4 weeks and was getting very annoyed, the week I started the shred I lost 1.5lb. Not a big loss but after staying the same for so long it definitely felt good. I have noticed my arms are firming up too
  • I am 29, a mum of 2 and wore a bikini last summer, as I am planning to get to my goal weight this year and then maintain it forever (unless I have another baby inbetween lol) then I would imagine that when I hit 35 then YES I will be wearing a bikini. I have a large chest, tankini's and one-piece swimsuits totally flatten…
  • I have heard that it can be good to have coffee just before your work-out as it gives you an energy boost and you are likely to work harder and/or for longer. My Rosemary Conley fitness instructor that I go too did a talk on it, but opinions from experts were very mixed. Personally though I avoid it as I am very sensitive…
