  • I wish they carried the chocolate Silk Almond milk by me but not yet.. I will wait patiently, in the mean time I will keep on with the Nestle Quick powder. :drinker:
  • Natural sugar is better than processed sugar, I agree. But, you need to count those calories just as much as any other food and drink. I stay away from juice as much as possible. Would rather eat the fruit than drink in all those calories. Get well soon.
  • Keep it up folks, we're all in it together!
  • My *kitten* shakes from all my extra weight...... hahaha
  • I use a teaspoon of Chocolate quick powder and 2 cups of the regular unsweetend almond milk. Just 100 calories and it tastes like a chocolate shake. One a day, it's my treat :)
  • I buy Lean Cuisine and Weight Watcher frozen lunches. I think they are great. I have all the variety I want and generally between 250-400 calories. No brainer, pop them in the microwave at work and presto - lunch!
  • HAHA.. Today I went for a cup of coffee with my co-workers to Dunkin Donuts I had this urge to jump over the counter and eat all the donuts :) :)

  • Sorry for the rant.....:flowerforyou:
  • I have decided to lose the weight because I felt like crap, and looked like crap, and was generally feeling down about my self. I had been rushed to the hospital a few months back because we thought I was having a heart attack. Luckily it was a false alarm, nothing serious. But it was my wake up call. Whenever I feel like…
  • There is no excuse for that perverts behavior. But.... We need not forget that we are posting pictures into a blind online forum. We have no idea who is seeing them, and for that reason be very careful what you post. I have seen some photos posted that show a bit much, there are weirdos out there that cant control…
  • Your HRM is way off on this one. Make sure you've calibrated the thing properly. I had to tell mine my age, my weight, height before I started using it.
  • OK, I just did it and it says I burned 1572 calories..... | | | v That was a joke :)
  • According to MFP I should be at ~30, but I have a tough time too. The fruit is what puts me over, but I usually am able to stay under 50.
  • nah... If your exercising your body will retain water depending on how much recovery it needs. I don't weigh myself at night only in the morning.
  • Went to a hockey game today, cheating would be an understatement. I went over my calories by nearly 1600 !! Yikes! No worries, back on track tomorrow. :)
  • Going to the Rangers Devils game tomorrow. Go Rangers!
  • log it each day until you've recovered from your injury. Then when you start working out again you can continue the good habit and you can exclude it again at that time.
  • I tend to snack on... Apples Pears Bananas Baby Carrots Celery Almonds I have also gone for low sugar protein bars and drinks too.
  • You should not be taking in more than 8-10 cups of water a day. That's between 64 and 80 ounces. The only time you should take in more is if you are losing a lot of fluids (sweating) while exercising or in a very hot climate. There is no additional benefit to more water, if anything you may be causing more harm than good.…
  • I have found that MFP has been more accurate than my machines (treadmill/stationary bike). Ever since I have gotten my HRM I have been checking and I burn more calories than my machine and MFP are listing.
  • Thanks! I will read through it.
  • That would be great, will be on the lookout for it. Thanks!
  • Your awesome!! Truly an inspiration. I got myself a HRM and I just started off on a very realistic running program. I say realistic because it starts off really slow (walking for the next two weeks) and it slowly moves you to walking faster, then jogging, and running. Great to see someone else who has made amazing…
  • Don't eat out as much, and when you do either take some home or split your meal with whomever is out with you. My wife and I started eating at home more and not only are we losig weight but we're saving a lot more money.
  • OK, this might be a really stupid question, but why do I need a protein bar, or protein shake for in the first place? I love protein bars, but not sure I should be eating them as I would rather save my calories for my meals. Is the recommended protein target on MFP too low? cause I seem to hit it or come darn close with my…
  • Try broiled Salmon, just sprinkle on some seasoning and cook skin side down until the top browns. Add a side of veggies, and you have a great dinner.
  • Just started today !! Finally got my a@# off the couch, lets keep moving.
  • Stretch, stretch, stretch, then a little more stretching, oh and did I say stretch? for 15 min before and 15 min after. :)
