Reading this thread has made a gray, drippy Monday unexpectedly awesome. Long Live The Doctor!

I expect the world to just be happy I'm wearing pants of any variety, sweat, yoga, or otherwise.

^^This! Also, listening to audiobooks in itunes on the phone can be great, although I sometimes find myself going slower just to drag out the amount of time I get to listen to the story...maybe not the best plan, but I'm definitely never bored.

Me too! :)

Feel free to add me...I'm in a similar place, after years of grad and law school, followed by a truly horrible job, and lots of weight gain and fitness loss. I fixed the job situation; now it's time to work on the healthy-happy-me bit.

^^This! I've been lax about smoothies lately, but when I'm in smoothie mode, I can usually crank out a smoothie in just a couple of minutes each morning because I've chopped or otherwise prepped all of the ingredients the night before. Powders and liquids can be pre-measured, too. Then just dump, blend, and Voila!

I think Martha is under-rated. Donna was pretty great, and I was really pulling to have a few episodes with Gramps as a companion, but...no such luck.

I got on here to ask how this was even a question, but after reading the thread...well...let's just say it's separated out my natural peeps from those of questionable taste! :) Star Wars is nice and all, but Star Trek is just pure awesome.

9.5; up because of the (potential?) zombie reference, down because a 10 just seems silly!

Word! This is my favorite post of the day.

Yoga is one of my favorite go-to exercises first thing in the morning, on days when I'm feeling slow, when I'm nuts from a crappy work day, or really just any time I want an endorphin boost. I started with a 30-day Bikram challenge, which I wouldn't really recommend (it's tough, but also expensive and a little too snooty…

There are advantages to living in the sticks, without access to yummy things like Panera or Krispy Kreme...all I have to contend with are my boss's crazy-delicious chocolate brandy bombs and the occasional birthday cake.

My go-to GF breakfasts are: 1. apple with peanut or almond butter and a poached or boiled egg 2. egg and a slice of ham, sometimes with a GF corn muffin 3. I know it's not breakfast-y, but sometimes a warm bowl of leftover black-eyed peas with ham and onions hits the spot (I eat this a lot for dinners, so often have…

This! A thousand times this!

Thanks for the ideas, everybody! I'm looking forward to busting out some pumpkin goodness this week!

A nice hard yoga session usually works for me...not because it does much for the pain, but because it helps me stay calm and focus, instead of just wanting to curl up and die. Endorphins, sweat, and an elevated heart rate sometimes work wonders.

Health! (But I wouldn't be opposed to both...) Scuba or Sky diving?

Yum...great idea. Thanks!

Cheese! A life without the opportunity to explore yummy and sometimes not-so-yummy cheeses is no life at all...I'll just deal with having a fatty, calorie-laden snack in my food log 2 or 3 times a week, thank you very much! And, of course, with cheese comes chocolate and a nice malbec...

Any chance you'd be willing to share the pumpkin pudding recipe? It sounds delicious! :)

I also have very specific egg preferences...mostly involving lots of greasy fried meat and toast, with not-quite-hard yokes. I've found that I can tolerate soft-boiled eggs if I drown them in pesto...a tablespoon of pesto can make two boiled eggs almost edible. :)

@ Pearsquared...I've never seen pumpkin in a smoothy, but what a GREAT idea! Guess it's time to go buy some pumpkin. :)
