  • I think the problem we have with dieting in general (or at least a lot of people anyway) is thinking...oh god I just ate soooo badly...now it is all ruined and I might as well eat everything. The problem with this is that with that mindset you will never achieve your goals! Like others have said, having one off meal, or…
  • Normally I don't like to weigh myself at all :) But I think I will probably try bi-weekly in the beginning and then probalby switch to weekly once I get into the swing of things a couple of months in. I also weigh first thing in the morning after I pee. Or at 3 in the morning if I'm up with the baby!!!
  • The pictures aren't showing up URGH!! Why must I go through this every freaking time...
  • I definitely agree! We are always so busy picking at ourselves and finding all the negatives that sometimes it takes just a revelation that you had to snap us out of it! GREAT job!!!
  • Awesome thread! I would love to post some pictures of my previous success :) And for the record I only gained the weight back because I got pregnant again, not because I fell off the wagon!!! I maintained my goal weight for 3 years (within 5 pounds of it anyway...fluctuating) before I concieved again. Although I think it…
  • I'm doing South Beach...which technically isn't low carb, but the first two weeks certainly are!!!! I was kind of wondering the same thing myself because I'm really tired right now and am not sure I can manage exercise! Also I just gave birth 5 weeks ago :)
  • I ALWAYS avoid the scale during my TOM!!! A few days before and a few days after too. I am too sensitive to upswings so I try to avoid it!! You can have up to 5 pounds of extra water weight during!!
  • I know I have this problem! But it is (and was) a combination of mom boobs and weight loss!!! I just wear good bras. My husband doesn't really care that there is a little extra skin so I'm not too worried. As long as I look good in a shirt I'm happy :)
  • When I was using another logging site I used to plan out some in advance too, especially when I was at work, because I knew what I had packed and I wasn't going to be able to eat anything differently! It's not like you can't go back and delete things that you don't eat right!!
  • I feel your pain! My weight is the most stubborn in the hip and thigh area as well. Unfortunately, it is the last to come off in people like us. But when you get to your goal weight you'll (hopefully) start feeling a little better about them. Even at my goal weight though I still have always hated my thighs :( But I've…
  • Haha on the goblins comment!! This time around it was pregnancy that did it...of course like one of the PP's said, I don't blame it on the baby! I definitely took advantage of eating. Of course I had been healthy and watching my weight for 3+ years before I got pregnant so I kind of let myself indulge!! Of course I knew…
  • I've been having a problem with this as well but mostly because I am not getting much sleep (I have a one month old and a five year old!). I find that it is really difficult to not eat something in the middle of the night because I'm up all night (therefore using more calories by being awake). Although I guess it helps…
