Totally feel everyone in this. I’ve been maintaining well between 150 and 155 but I really want to maintain at 140 to 145. While I’m happy I haven’t gone off the reservation and gained more then 5 to 10 pounds because it is sooo much easier to lose that then 20+! But the number really is arbitrary. My original goal was 125…

The only problem I have with your statement is that there are certain body standards that aren't possible. I will never have long super thin legs. Obviously I can't lengthen my legs without some seriously painful surgery :) , and the other because of straight up genetics. I'm 5'4" and I have been as low as 120 pounds. Up…

My doctor thought I might have an auto immune disease so I looked up diets that would help my symptoms. I'm doing Primal at the moment. Health wise I feel a TON better!

Thanks everyone!!!

Awesome job! I just hit the healthy BMI weight range today!
-
I picked the weight I was a couple of years ago. Felt good and looked good :) only 13 pounds to go!

Went in to see the doctor for an annual physical and to talk to him about some health issues I was having. I knew I'd been putting on a few pounds but they told me my BMI had set off a trigger :( They suspect that I have an autoimmune disease so I looked up diets that would help that and since I've been eating that way I…

I know I tend to underestimate a bit too when logging but I think I overestimate on others like the oil I cook in and put in marinades (where you aren't actually ingesting all of it) I think it comes out in the wash for me cause I'm losing just fine :) The only thing I really "fib" about sometimes on here is my alcohol…

I'm 34 for the poster who asked :)

Also 5'4. Started at 167 down to 150.4 right now. Lowest I've ever been was 127 and honestly it was too skinny. I carry all my weight in my lower half and at 127 I looked super bony up top then. But we all carry our weight differently. I'm aiming for 130 I think. But I was pretty happy when I weighed 135 in all honesty.…

Doing well!

Primal or Paleo is a good way to go for most auto immune diseases, so you could give that a try.
-
Soooo true! They really are the worst. Usually if they fit well and I look marginally okay in them in the store then I take them home and they typically look tons better in my home mirror :)

My doctor suspects that I could have an autoimmune disease but we are still investigating it. I am doing primal to see if cutting all of the inflammatory stuff will help. I've been doing it for a month and I feel much better! I've had IBS since i was 18 though, I'm thinking I have something stomach related.

15 pounds in 5 weeks (though the first week was a lot of water weight of course)
-
The only reason I'm counting them is to make sure I'm eating enough. I'm listening to my body and eating when hungry, stopping when full. I'm also tracking everything for my macros/carbs as well. Hitting those really well! The weight loss has been pretty quick and hasn't really slowed down (with the exception of my "TOM"…

Then again, I'm eating to fix my health issues, so it might be easier to stay away from it since I know it will make me feel horrible for a couple of days.
-
I'm more worried about all of the halloween candy right now lol!
-
Depends how crappy you've been eating up until now. If you're just starting out you could lose a decent amount of water weight in the first week. I lost 14 pounds in a little over a month but the first 8 was totally all bloat lol
-
I'm doing primal for health reasons. It can be very helpful for auto immune diseases. Also there is zero wrong with cutting put processed foods!! And eating organic and grass fed/free range/no hormones and antibiotics. I've had stomach trouble my whole life and I feel loads better and am losing weight steadily. But once…

I usually do an apple in the morning. Sometimes with fresh ground almond butter
-
Feel free to add me. I'm doing primal but it's similar enough :)
-
Yeah I drank last night and felt guilty about it :( really struggling today with carb cravings. Kids were eating cereal and animal crackers and I was dying! Haven't cheated cause I know it will make me feel bad but it sucks
-
I know I rely on them too much when I'm low on calories for the day. I don't know if it is harmful to my weight loss or not to be honest.

Those are great points Runnergirl!

Yeah the constant cooking thing is starting to get to me as well! I was never a big fan of cooking. I'm not bad at it, but all of the prep and time and clean up is such a HASSLE! Hopefully I'll settle into a groove. I've also been trying to be too fancy I think with recipes, I need to just batch cook easy things sometimes…

Pretty sure I have us size 2 (only skirts though) to size 14. I need to purge as well but glad I didn't get rid of my smaller clothes cause hopefully I will fit in them again! I'm a size 10 or 8 depending on the style and brand right now

I'm pretty much just struggling with quitting or severely limiting booze. Switched from paleo to primal as they allow some cheese and red wine lol. I used to drink quite a bit so it's been a challenge though I know it's way healthier for me in the long run. It's been almost three weeks though and I feel pretty darn good :)
-
I hate running but love zombies lol. I wonder if I could do this while roller skating?

These are all so great! I originally found out about Paleo/Primal through a neighbor of mine who has RA and a bunch of other health issues. When I was having problems with chronic low grade fever, fatigue and headaches the doc suspected that I might have an autoimmune disease. Nothing has been concluded yet, however I do…
