it's hard to say no when surrended by easy choices that are not actually good for us but so tasty. Maybe print out the hunger scale that kommodevaran posted and try to assess your actual hunger when you feel like snacking. My number one tip for work would be to drink all day long. I like munching and eating, it's a habit…

If you are truly eating at a deficit, it will go down, sometimes it just takes a while .Make sure you are tracking accurately. Using a food scale is great, but if not at least measuring cups/spoons. Also, do you count everything? Coffee creamer, oil for cooking, drinks, etc.. It adds up quickly.

Daily. Once first thing when I wake up and last thing before I go to bed. I feel fine with fluctations however, when it goes up I don't freak out and know it will go down again in a few days.

I agree, pick one thing and do it for at least 6 weeks before trying something else. At the weight you are at now, everything will take a lot of time

If you have a fridge, I would bring some food from home that you just have to microwave (Like left overs) for the first few days. Salad with pre cooked chicken, canned tuna, canned beans are good options. Sandwiches are also good. I would buy a cooked entire chicken and eat it with salad, sandich, you can buy pouches of…

Sodium is something we need. It's what will help your muscle recover from exercise and reduce muscle cramps, it help with blood flow (which translate to a normal blood pressure).. If you exercise a lot, it's important to have a normal sodium intake (Because sweat = salt), otherwise it's not something you have to track…

I do both. If i'm doing a recipe with bone-in chicken, i'll weight it cooked because I'm obviously not eating the bones so I want to weight only the actual meat. If I'm cooking a chicken breast, and I plan on eating the whole breast i'll measure it before I cooking. The only think I will only measure dry (or at least 99%…

I always freeze my dinner leftovers for lunches to bring at work. I keep a roll of painting tape and a sharpie in the kitchen and I’ll stick a piece of tape with either the name of the recipe (that i previously created in mfp) or the quantity of food in it (like 40g unc rice, 85g cooked chicken, 145 g cooked gr beans...)…

Try drinking either more water throughout the day or a make a habit of having a tea around that time. Most of the time, i get bored in the middle of the afternoon and getting up for a snack is just a bad habit of mine. Getting up to make a peppermint tea is now my new habit and I love it. I started making peppermint…

I really like raw shredded (grated) beets in salads. I also really like them pan fried with salt and pepper. Once they are boiled, slice them to desired thickness and cooked them in a tiny bit of oil. It’s super easy yet very good. I also make beets, avocado and feta cheese salad. It’s amazing!

For the best pasta sauce ever (in my opinion anyway) chop in small cube (the smaller the better, it will get a nice caramelization): eggplant, bell pepper, onion, zucchini or yellow squash, garlic, a few cherry/grape tomatoes, splash of oil, salt and pepper. In the oven at 400 for about 20-30 minutes. Blend all the veggies…

Congratulation on the new baby! I think that cleaning up your diet is already a great step, especially for your future child! The earlier you expose your child to healthy eating habit, the better. When I started my weight loss journey I was mostly focusing on calories, which ended up failing me. Over time I shifted my…

You gained all this weight over so many months/years so loosing it will require a lot of patience. Congrats on the 18 pouds! It’s amazing!

If it helps, 2 weeks ago I was 219 lbs. I was loosing about 0.6 to 1 lbs a day the first 6 or 7 days, like you mostly water weight. Then I « gained » a pound and the scale refused to move for almost a week. This morning I suddenly lost 2 lbs. Loosing weight is not linear. As long as it’s a mostly downward trend, it’s ok if…
