You look great! I am the same height and have the same weight loss goals! I'll send you a friend request :)

I used to hate spinach but I totally crave raw spinach now! Still don't like the cooked stuff though.... I much prefer spinach over lettuce in my salads!

I use non fat plain greek yogurt for all kinds of things and it bumps the protein up. I eat it with tuna instead of mayo almost every day and it's a great source of protein. You can make chicken salad with it too or use it as a base in smoothies or make dressing out of it by adding some of that powdered ranch. It's not…

Love this! I actually laughed out loud!

I don't know the right answer to this but I often go over my protein and I still lose. I think it just depends on your source of protein. Obviously lots of high calorie/high fat proteins aren't going to be as good for you as lean meats, nuts, legumes, etc. You can actually change your settings too and increase the amount…

Yup! You are totally not alone there. I think sometimes our friends say things like that because they are jealous or they don't understand something we do or maybe we've changed a little and they're just not used to it. But if your'e becoming a happier person that's all that matters! If they are a good friend and what they…

Completely agree!

I always get plenty of fiber and I have an open diary if you want to take a peek :). But mostly it comes from higher fiber cereal/oatmeal/breakfast bars and fruits and veggies. I like cinnamon burst cheerios or frosted mini wheats because they are delicious (and yes, they probably have too much sugar), Oatmeal to go bars,…

I've heard mixed reviews on this as well but what I seem to hear the most is that tea does count towards your water as long as it's decaffeinated. I almost never drink 64 oz of pure water in a day but I do make sure to drink a lot of tea and flavored water :)

Having friends definitely helps! I'll request you :)

First of all, congratulations on the 300 lbs loss!!!! That is AMAZING!!!! As far as staying on track I go through periods of getting off track too..... I think we all do. What motivates me is thinking about how far I've come, what I still want to accomplish, and most of all how I feel when I don't eat well. When I eat…

That is great!!

Friend request sent :)
-
Heck no! But when I reach my goal weight I'm totally paying the $25 to get a new one with updated information :)
-
I couldn't agree more! Good calories make all the difference! So does eating more often :)
-
I always felt hungry at first too but now, 11 months later, I sometimes don't even feel like eating all my calories. It just takes time to adjust. What's helpful for me is trying to determine if my stomach is hungry or just my mouth. A trick I learned at Weight Watchers is when I'm feeling hungry I ask myself "if someone…

I saw a girl at my gym wearing skinny jeans and stilettos the other day!!! And there's another girl who gets on the treadmill and does like 2 mph in FLIP FLOPS. If they look at me like I'm crazy for sweating I don't notice..... probably 'cause I'm there to WORK! LOL!
-
That's great! Congratulations!
-
Great job! I can see a major difference in your stomach! Keep up the great work and congratulations on getting into 200land!! :)

Spinach salad with a chopped up apple, cucumber, feta cheese, craisons, either chicken or bacon depending on my mood, and maybe some avocado. All topped with some kind of vinaigrette and some fresh black pepper. I also like egg beaters with various stuff mixed in :)

I did a mud run in Oct (hence my profile pic) and it was soooo much fun! My time wasn't nearly as good as yours but it was still an awesome experience!

I don't think it's an obsession at all but if it is at least it's a healthy obsession :). Nothing wrong with adding veggies to your meals! Edit: LOL @ Sidesteal! I'd say the same thing but only because I HATE carrots!
-
I have about 30 more lbs to go too! I'll add you :)

I JUST started jogging recently and I'm doing the C25k plan. I had tried it before but I always felt too big or like it was too hard and I never made it past jogging for one minute. I can now do 5 mins but it's HARD (for me). I do enjoy the sweat and the heart racing though!! And I finally broke my plateau which is a huge…

I'll add you and help support you! I lost a lot of weight when I was 19 too and I wish I had stuck with it instead of continuing to yo yo and spend most of my 20's overweight...
-
I've considered eating clean too but haven't totally committed. I'm like you and have been kind of easing into it.... Even just by staying away from most packaged/highly processed products I feel much better!
-
i came from an overweight family too! If you don't have a full plate at family gathering someone WILL make a comment about it! Feel free to add me if you need support buddies!

I actually have to take potassium supplements from time to time because I have a hard time getting enough from food and I get really bad leg cramps if I don't have enough :(. The supplements are only like 3% of the DRV but it seems to help with the cramping....
-
That is a lot of carbs but you're probably still ok. There's still plenty of time left in the day so you'll probably burn up the majority of those carbs and at least it was veggies and not a big bowl of pasta :). If you're concerned about it try having a low carb dinner and/or doing a little excercise...... I can't go to…

I used to typically eat cereal - either cinnamon cheerios, frosted mini wheats, or any other higher fiber cereal that tastes good. Recently my friend shared this recipe with me and I've been loving it! I hate regular oatmeal so this is perfect. I make it on the weekends, cut it into 6 servings and just pop in the microwave…
